How to make red bean paste pie
Step 1Soak red beans
After buying red beans, you wash them with water and then soak them for about 5-7 hours for the beans to bloom, then take them out and drain.
Step 2Cook red beans
Put red beans in a pot with 3 liters of water, cook with high heat. When the beans are boiling, lower the heat to medium and continue cooking. After about 1 hour , the beans are cooked, turn off the stove, take out the beans and keep the water.
Step 3Grind beans
Place the cooked red beans in the mortar along with 5 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of bean broth, and 1 teaspoon of salt . Blend the mixture for about 5 minutes until the beans are smooth.
Step 4Red bean slug
Add the ground beans to the pan and cook over low heat. You should note that you should stir constantly to avoid burning beans. After about 20 minutes , lower the heat, put 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and 50g of glutinous rice flour in the pan, continue to slug for another 30 minutes , then turn off the heat and let it cool.
Note
– You should add the cooking oil slowly, do not put it in one turn so that the filling does not dry out.
– If you keep the fire too high, the slugs may be oily, in this case you can add a little hot water and continue to slug to fix it.
– After the slug is finished, remember to use the lid to cover it carefully to avoid dehydration. In addition, if you use too little cooking oil or sugar, it can also cause the filling to be friable and crumbly.
Step 5Mix flour
Put 250g of flour with 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a bowl, stir well and then use your hands to knead the dough until it becomes elastic.
Step 6Mix shell powder
In another bowl, add 100g of sugar and 200ml of water, stir until the sugar dissolves. Next, add 500g of flour and 100ml of cooking oil, knead the dough by hand for about 20 minutes. If you have a machine, you can knead the dough with a machine.

– Depending on the old flour or new flour, you adjust the amount of water accordingly. Old flour tends to absorb more water, so add a little more water to keep the dough flexible and not dry.
– On the contrary, if the flour is new, you should reduce the amount of water a little to avoid the dough being pasty.
Step 7Divide the dough into small pieces
After completing the above steps, we will have 3 parts of flour including shell powder, intestine flour and red bean paste. Crush each type into small balls, 40g shell powder each, 20g intestine powder each and 75g red bean paste.
Step 8Package of cake
Take 1 shell dough ball, rub until the dough is elongated and then roll it thin. Next, you take 1 ball of intestinal flour, rub it until it becomes oblong, and then put it on the shell powder.

Step 9Bake the cake for the 1st time
Adjust the temperature to about 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes to heat the oven. Put the cake into the oven at a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius on the top and bottom heat for about 20 minutes.
