Here you are using a series of cannons to rescue a Goron named Yubono, before heading to the Bridge of Eldin.

Abandoned North Mine, how to use the cannons to rescue Yubono
Take the short path out Goron City towards the Abandoned North Mine, and speak to Drak at the entrance to learn the place ahead is a little hotter than usual.
This means you need two levels of heat resistance, so equip two pieces of Flamebreaker armour, which can be purchased at a store in Goron City, or combine one Fireproof Elixir with one piece of Flamebreaker armour.
On the way to the Abandoned North Mine’s waypoint, which is a cavern that Yubono is trapped in, you must travel between islands of rock in the lava. The route requires is east, then through the centre to the north west and across.
To clear the enemies and obstacles on the way, you can use canons. To use cannons, load a round Bomb rune into the funnel so it rolls to the middle on f the cannon, and press the L button as usual to detonate to fire it.
To rotate the cannon, there is a lever on the right that you must hit with a weapon, turning it to one or two positions. It’s a case of moving the canon from its end positions whenever you see one to take out the nearby enemies, who will rain fire arrows down at you.
You can also make use of drafts of wind with your Paraglider to go from one area to the next. If you hover over it, you’ll gain more height before you move on. As you come to a canon aimed squarely at a towering enemy base, blow it up then rotate it right, firing at the piles of rocks in the distance, creating another draft of air between the end checkpoint and a cannon on the upper left.
Head to the cannon, load it up and rotate it. Fire the cannon while it’s travelling between the two positions, just as it’s over the caved in cavern ahead, to blow it up and gain access to Yunobo. Use the gust of wind between the cannon and the cavern to gain access.
After the cutscene with Yunobo, he’ll head back to Goron City. Before you travel back, loot the cavern for items, such as weapons leaning against the wall and some chests.
You can also get access to the hard-to-reach Shora Hah shrine – which is inside the large rock to the north, with the mine cart track leading inside – by paragliding north off of the cavern rock and into the entrance. When you’re ready, warp back to the Goron City Shae Mo’sah shrine and chat to Bludo to receive three Fireproof Elixirs and a cutscene featuring one of the Memories.

Reaching Bridge of Eldin with minecarts
Next you have to travel to Eldin Bridge and speak to Yunobo. To get there, head up the path to the North Abandoned Mine, and continue going round. It’ll loop round and take you to a bridge high above Goron City, followed by a minecart on the left.
Using this is not unlike the cannon; stand inside, and lower a bomb into the rounded compartment and detonate. Do so to get past the group of enemies and arrive at the hot springs. Swim around inside to recover your health, and chat to the nearby Goron bathing for a side-quest.
Straight after is another track on the left, with its minecart laying nearby. Use Magnesis to raise this back on the track, then use it to bypass another set of enemies.
Before the fork up to Yunobo, take the lower path and activate the Daha Quo shrine for a fast travel point.
Head up the other route to see Yunobo, who is cowering away from two Moblin. These are powerful foes, but can be taken on one-on-one since the other is distracted. Using Ice Arrows will help you disable them temporarily so you can get a few swipes in, and if you’re lucky, knock them over so you can get even more attacks in.
Once they’re gone, collect the Moblin innards before they burn up, and approach Yunobo. Aim at the bridge, drop a bomb in and detonate to lower the bridge. Next is a section at Death Mountain involving sentries, with some more puzzle solving before you tackle the area’s dungeon.
