This is the most common method of removing the bitterness of cucumber, and to do it, you have to cut the edges of cucumber, and use the cut out to rub the cucumber in circular motion on both the sides. As you continue the rubbing for a few seconds, you will see white foamy substance on the circumference. Repeat the process for 30-50 seconds and then wash the cucumber under running water. In this method, you have to cut the cucumber into two halves lengthwise. Then, sprinkle some salt on both the halves and rub them against each other. This is a not-so-popular method, in which you have to cut the ends of the cucumber and peel off the skin. And before you slice the cucumber, use a fork and run it up and down lengthwise to cover it with fork furrows.
