After a few days: Hot water doesn’t stay hot that long, boiled water turn warm in a couple of hours. and we’re talking about summer here!
However, given the fact that it’s stainless steel, it does a really poor job of keeping drinks cold. I’ve poured cold water into it, added ice cubes on one occasion and frozen ice sticks on another…both times my water stayed cold for less than a few hours. The only time it stayed at a reasonable cold temperature was when I had it in a cooler lunchbox…with ice packs. I haven’t tested hot water…but I assume it probably wouldn’t keep it hot for very long either.
As I previously mentioned, it’s really just a glorified cup. It is also quite small…maybe 12 ounces? Also, it scratches VERY easily. You would probably be better off spending a little bit more money and getting a legit Thermos…or something that at least functions as it should.
