Guests enter the hotel through a chocolate shop and can sample treats at the onsite tequila bar (and, yes, they have chocolate-infused liqueurs), or just indulge in a “chocolate spa treatment” followed by a soothing dip in the open-air hot tub.

The English seaside resort of Bournemouth has two chocolate-themed hotels run by the same cocoa-crazy family. The Chocolate Boutique Hotel came first, with regular choco-weekends, chocolate workshops, and the promise to supply every guest with a daily dose of chocolate. It’s no surprise why this playful yet elegant property is such a hit.

The Chocolate Box Hotel in Bournemouth, UK

Inspired by its massive success, the owners of The Chocolate Boutique launched Bournemouth’s second chocolate hotel – The Chocolate Box. While the original hotel focuses on luxury and indulgence, the Chocolate Box is all about fun. Children’s chocolate parties, a themed tasting room, and unlimited chocolate buffets every Sunday make it especially popular with families.

If the incredible Soufrière rainforest wasn’t enough of a reason to book a few nights at this stylish boutique hotel, how about some chocolate, too? A stay at Hotel Fabrica do Chocolate includes free admission to Minho’s Chocolate Museum – not that you’ll need it when so much of this hotel is chocolate-themed. From its chocolate inspired decor and choco-centric menu to chocolate workshops and chocotherapy treatments, there’s not much at this hotel that doesn’t involve our favorite treat.

Old Chocolate Factory in Gran Canaria, Spain

Despite its name, the cocoa theme at Old Chocolate Factory is subtle. This hotel is housed in a 19th-century factory with high ceilings and ornate ironwork, more reminiscent of an extravagant wedding cake than a candy bar. Chocolate is featured at breakfast, and when exploring the tiled courtyard, you’ll definitely catch the smell of cocoa on the breeze.

Etruscan Chocohotel in Perugia, Italy

There are chocolate hotels, and then there’s the Etruscan Chocohotel. This Perugia hotel has beds designed to look like candy bars, and photos of chocolate hanging in every room. Every guest receives a selection of chocolate on arrival, the entryway has a bathtub full of chocolate, and the breakfast buffet features a chocolate fondue.

The charming village of Chipping Campden was voted the best place in the UK to have a cup of tea and is also home to one of the UK’s favorite chocolate hotels. Guests of Three Ways House love its cozy ambiance and the host’s attention to detail – but it’s the hotel brasserie that lures in anyone with a sweet tooth.
