Baritone Robert Goulet has died awaiting a lung transplant at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, the Associated Press is reporting.
The award-winning singer, diagnosed last month with a rare form of pulmonary fibrosis, was 73.
Goulet was born in 1933 to French-Canadian parents in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
However, his family moved with him to Canada when he was 13.
Robert Goulet was given a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame last year and was seeking Canadian citizenship at the time of his death.

He married Macedonian-born Vera Chochorovska Novak in 1982.
Vera runs their companies and is also his business manager.
