How to uninstall Microsoft Silverlight

This article describes how to uninstall and then reinstall Microsoft Silverlight, this is usually done when users encounter a “blank white screen” when trying to connect to TC2000 v12.4 or if they are continuously prompted to install Microsoft Silverlight.

1. Press (Shift+command+C) or go to finder menu bar and select “Go” then “computer”.
2. Select “Macintosh HD”.
3. Select “Library”.
4. Select “internet plugins”.
5. Right click on “Silverlight.plugin” and select move to trash or drag it to trash can.
6. Right click on “WPFe.plugin” and select move to trash or drag it to trash can.
   *WPFe.plugin may or may not be there depending on OS version.
7. Open browser and go to www.microsoft.com/silverlight/ and download Silverlight by clicking the “Download Now” button.

Reinstalling Microsoft Silverlight

1. Open Finder.
2. Select Downloads.
   *If downloads folder is not available, add it by going to finder “preferences” selecting “Sidebar” and checking the “downloads” folder.
3. Double left click on “silverlight.dmg”.
4. Double left click on the “silverlight.pkg” icon that appears in a new window.
5. Follow the installation prompts.

If TC2000 still doesn’t load after silverlight reinstall click here make sure the silverlight plugin is enabled for your browser.
