[Disclaimer] I am, in no way a nutritionist, a physical therapist, or a personal trainer. I got this information and rough conversions from google, information released to the public from magazines, and several fanpages that provide updates about the boys regularly. My mom also helped with the understanding of this information, as she is incredibly into the healthy lifestyle.
^^^ that photo right there has been floating around. It’s made people freak out, cry, get frustrated, and it’s even making people get angry.
So many people see the decreasing numbers and automatically assume that all the boys are severely underweight. Fortunately, this isn’t the case for several of the boys.
I am making this post to assure ARMYs that the boys are okay… For the most part.
Continuing on, I will start with Namjoon.
The post above says that Namjoon has gone from 67kg (roughly 148lbs) to 64kg (~141lbs)
Namjoon, being 181cm (5’11”), you would probably assume that he is a little too light for his height. According to his BMI (Body Mass Index) he is at 19.7. 19.7, meaning a normal, and healthy weight. However, he shouldn’t lose or gain more weight.
Moving on to Jin.
The post says that Jin has gone from 63kg(~139lbs) to 64kg (132lbs)
Jin is 179cm (5’10.5)
This puts his BMI at 18.7 which is normal…. But just barely. He is below average and if he were to gain a bit, it would benefit him.
Now, Yoongi.
According to the post being referenced, Yoongi went from 59kg (~130lbs) to 57kg (~126lbs)
Yoongi is 176cm (5’9″)
Yoongi’s BMI is at 18.6. Once again, normal, but still below average. Gaining weight in muscle could benefit him.
Hoseok’s turn.
The post says he’s gone from 65kg (~143lbs) to 59kg (~130lbs)
Hoseok is 177cm (5’10).
His BMI is at 18.7, again, normal, but also on the lower spectrum of “normal.” He should indeed watch what he does, and maybe gain a bit.
Time for Jimin.
It is said Jimin went from 61kg (~134lbs) to 60kg (~132lbs)
Jimin is 175cm (5’9″)
His BMI is 19.5. This means, his weight is normal. It is low, mind you, but it would be best if his weight were to stay stable at this point. What he needs to stop doing is reducing and restricting his diet and eat food that is good for him.
Taehyung is next.
The post says he has gone from 62kg (~137lbs) to 58kg (~128lbs)
He is 179cm (5’10.5)
His BMI is 18.1. Taehyung is underweight. However, although it is low, as long as he gets all the nutrients he needs, he’s fine. On the other hand, if this is intentional weight loss, it is a sign of poor health. It is reccomended that he gain weight in muscle.
Finally, Jungkook.
The post says he has gone from 66kg (~146lbs) to 61kg (~134lbs)
Jungkook is 178cm (5’10”)
His BMI is 19.2. This is normal, however he should not reduce his meals or restrict his diet. I understand he is not a kid anymore, but believe it or not, he’s nearing the ending stages of development and should still feed himself regular meals. His weight should be fine if it’s stable at this point.
I could go into the psychology of it all and analyze that, but unless it is requested (a considerable amount of times) I will not be doing that. Please use your brains and do not assume the worst. It just brings unnecessary stress.

Note: the conversion from kg to lbs were rounded to allow a more understandable post.
