We’re back to PGA Tour action this week with the RBC Heritage.
While it might feel like a come down after the excitement that was the Masters, the RBC Heritage is one of the player’s favourites on the American circuit, so we’re set for a good week.
The event is one of this year’s PGA Tour’s designated events, which means there’s a strong field assembled. Jordan Spieth, Scottie Scheffler, and newly crowned Masters champ Jon Rahm are in the field as of Monday morning.
The event’s new status means that it’s featuring probably its strongest ever field, with Scheffler making his debut, Rahm coming off the back of a Masters win, and Spieth making his title defence. Note: Rory McIlroy was in the field up until Monday afternoon, when he withdrew.
Last year, it was one of last week’s top performers, Jordan Spieth, who came out on top, beating Patrick Cantlay in a playoff.
The venue, Harbour Town, is something the players can look forward to. It features the PGA Tour’s smallest greens, which more than make up for its shorter yardage. On the final hole, the iconic red and white lighthouse stands over the green, an iconic image.
The event has been sponsored by RBC since 2012. It was first played in 1969, with every tournament taking place at Harbour Town.
Here’s the full RBC Heritage preview.

Patrick Cantlay
It’s difficult to predict how post-Masters fatigue will impact players this week, but Patrick Cantlay seems like a man who won’t be too badly impacted by it. A strong showing last week, coupled with a second place here last year makes him difficult to ignore.
