Go to https://www.paypal.com/ from a browser. If your account isn’t automatically logged in, click Log In in the upper-right corner of the window and enter your login information. ^{[1] X Research Source}

Scroll down and click See how much you can send with PayPal . It’s an option in the “More about your account” section.

Click Get Verified near the top of the window.

Verified PayPal accounts pay fewer fees and face fewer restrictions, such as not many limits on how much you can send, receive, or withdraw.

Perform the verification according to the on-screen instructions. To verify your US account, you must take two or three steps:

Provide both bank account links and routing numbers; if fast connection doesn’t show up, verify small deposit PayPal will do in 2-3 business days.
Provide and connect your debit or credit card number, with expiration date, billing address, and card’s security code, and then verify the code in the transaction description that PayPal will execute in 1 -2 working days; or
Provide a social security number.
