How to Turn off Auto-Correct on WhatsApp

This wikiHow teaches you how to stop WhatsApp from automatically correcting your spelling mistakes. WhatsApp does not provide an option to enable or disable autocorrect, but you can disable the feature on your computer or smartphone so that spelling mistakes are not corrected when using WhatsApp.

Uncheck the “Correct spelling automatically” box at the top of the Keyboard window. Mac programs (including WhatsApp) will stop automatically correcting errors as you type.

Advice

With Android, it is possible that the keyboard options will have a slightly different name than in the article. For example, your Android device will have a menu item Language & keyboard instead of Languages & input .

Warning
