Eyelashes falling into your eyes will make you very uncomfortable and sometimes quite painful. Weak eyelashes can fall into your eyes when you rub your eyes, cry, or go out in the wind. Eyes are a sensitive part of the body, so you need to be gentle when dealing with this problem.
Steps
Wash your eyes with water
- Squeeze your hands, take water and splash it on your eyes. You can blink when your eyes come into contact with water, repeat several times until the lash is gone.
- Pour water into a large bowl. Open your eyes and slowly lower your face into the water until your eyes come into contact with the water. If you feel uncomfortable, blink your eyes, as long as the water gets into your eyes.
- If necessary, you repeat several times until the eyelashes follow the water in the bowl to drift out.
- Pour the saline solution into the eye dropper, then open your eyes wide and put a few drops directly into the eye. If you’re lucky, the lash will immediately flow out, if not, try a few more times.
- If the saline solution comes in a small bottle with a sharp tip, you do not need to use the eye drops, just hold the bottle of saline solution and put a few drops into your eye. Blink, and if necessary, apply several more times until the lash falls out.
Use a cotton swab or finger
- Look in the mirror to see where the eyelashes are. You should only use your finger or a cotton swab to remove the eyelash when it is on the white of the eye. The black of the eye is more sensitive, so if the eyelash is inside the black, you need to see a doctor to have it removed. [3] X Research Sources
- Hand washing. You need to wash your hands with soap and dry thoroughly to remove all bacteria on your hands, avoiding them from entering your eyes.
- Wet the tip of the cotton swab by dipping it in the saline solution. [4] X Research Source Using saline solution will not cause eye damage. You can open the cap of the saline solution and dip the tip of a cotton swab in to wet it, or pour the saline solution into a bowl and then dip the cotton swab.
- Gently touch the tip of the cotton swab to the lash. Try to open your eyes, or use one hand to hold a cotton swab and the other to hold your eyelids.
- Take out the lashes. If all goes well, the lash will stick to the tip of the cotton swab, which you can easily and safely remove by simply lifting the stick and the lash out of your eye.
- Brush the lash out with one finger. Use your non-dominant hand to lift your eyelids to keep your eyes open. Use a finger of your dominant hand to gently push the lash out of your eye. Try not to blink, the eyelash will follow the movement of the finger to escape.
- Pull the lash out with two fingers. If squeezing with one finger doesn’t get the lash out, try pulling it out with two fingers. When clamping the lash, gently let the tip of your finger make contact with the eyeball. However, this method should not be used if you have long nails to avoid scratching your eyes. Once you’ve got the lash between your fingers, you can gently pull it out.
