How to Sell Cars in GTA 5 Online

Go to GTA Online. During a game, press the Options or Menu button on the controller or the “Esc” button on a personal computer (PC) to open the in-game menu. Here, select the “Online” tab at the far right of the menu screen to enter Grand Theft Auto Online.

Select the character you want to use. The character you will use to play the online mode is different from the character you are using to play the story mode. Search for the car you want to sell. Walk around the city, look for the car you want to sell and rob it. You can also pick up the car from the garage.

Regular cars can sell for between $1,000 and $2,000, while sports cars can sell for upwards of $9,000. When you see the car you want to sell, get in the car and drive away.

Go to Los Santos Customs. This is the in-game car shop. This shop has an icon that looks like a spray bottle on the map. There is a store in Los Santos and a store in Harmony.

You can only sell cars in GTA Online. You cannot sell vehicles in Single-player mode.

Into the garage. After going to the Los Santos Customs store, park your car in front of the garage door and wait for the door to open. Drive inside and the store menu will appear.

Select Sell again. This is the step to confirm that you want to sell and proceed to sell the car. Cash will be added to the amount you currently have in the upper right corner of the screen.
