While it’s easy to remove an adult from a Family Sharing group (Apple’s family-sharing feature), things get trickier with a child account. Because children under the age of 13 can’t have their own Apple ID if they’re not tied to an adult account, you can’t remove these accounts from the family group. There are two solutions: one is to move the child’s account to another family group, the other is to completely remove the Apple ID. Delete the child’s account

Sign out of your child’s account on any device. If your child’s Apple ID was still signed in when the account was deleted, you may have problems using that device later. Complete the following steps on any device where your child is signed in:
- iPhone/iPad: Open Settings and tap the child’s name at the top. Scroll down, tap Sign Out , enter your password, and then tap Turn Off . Select what data will be saved on the device and click Sign Out .
