V-style bracelets are very popular among friendship bracelets. Giving a V-style bracelet to a friend is a way to show you care, or you can make your own to wear! Here are two different methods to apply when you want to make a V-shaped friendship bracelet.
Steps

- The more the number of threads, the more complicated the color arrangement and the larger the bracelet.
- Choose any color you like; just make sure each color has two paragraphs just fine.
- You can clip the thread to the sign cover, pin it to your pants or pillow with a hand needle, or stick it on a flat surface. You can also use butterfly clips with cufflinks or a book. Another way is to tie it to a drawer handle.
- Imagine having an invisible line in the middle and creating the same color order on either side of that midline.
- To tie the right knot, make a 90-degree angle by placing the first thread over the second. Next, you thread the first thread under the second thread and tighten.
- Note: Remember to create two knots on each thread.
- After you’ve tied the outermost thread to the next thread, you do the same with the next inner thread. Continue this process until the knots reach the center.
- Note: the first thread you used (far right) should now be centered.
- To tie the left knot, do the same thing as with the right knot, but in the opposite direction. Make a 90 degree angle by placing the first thread over the second and threading the first thread under the second and then tightening.
- Note: if you followed the steps in the right order, by this point the two midpoints should be the same color and you’ll see a V-shaped pattern.
- Or, you can attach a button to wear the bracelet easily. Attach the button to the end of the bracelet by threading two threads into the two holes on the button. Next, you tie the two threads together and trim the excess of all the threads (including the one that isn’t used for knotting). At the other end of the bracelet, you’ve got a circle created from tying the knot to hold the thread in place. Attach the button to that circle once you’ve completed the steps.

- Once you’ve cut the stitches, fold the whole bundle in half. Thus, you will have a total of 16 segments only.
- Or, you can pin the thread to your pants with a needle, tie it to a drawer handle, or clip it to a sign cover.
- For example, the order of paragraphs would look like this: 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1
- Imagine there is an invisible line in the middle and line up the segments in the same color order on either side of the line. Repeat this order one more time with the remaining segments.
- Note: the first (rightmost) pointer should now be centered.
- To tie the left knot, do the same thing as with the right knot, but in the opposite direction. Make a 90 degree angle by placing the first thread over the second and threading the first thread under the second and then tightening.
- That’s it, you’ve finished half of the double V pattern
- Note: if you followed the steps in the right order, by this point the two midpoints should be the same color and you’ll see a V-shaped pattern.
- Or, you can attach a button to wear the bracelet easily. Attach the button to the end of the bracelet by threading two threads into the two holes on the button. Next, you tie the two threads together and trim the excess of all the threads (including the one that isn’t used for knotting). At the other end of the bracelet, you’ve got a circle created from tying the knot to hold the thread in place. Attach the button to that circle once you’ve completed the steps.
Advice
- Tie the double knots so they don’t come loose.
- If the bracelet is twisted, simply iron it.
- You can buy embroidery thread at any sewing supply store.
- Choose a different color combination for each event, for example, pink, red and white for Valentine’s Day or red and green for Christmas.
- Every time you make a bracelet, remember to arrange the segments only according to the above rule.
- Make friendship bracelets to give to friends for Christmas.
- After cutting the excess thread on the button of the bracelet, you should apply glue to the area you just cut so that the knot does not come apart.
