How to make spring rolls without using rice paper
Step 1Preliminary processing of taro
Buy taro , peel it, wash it with water, and then cut off the 2 sides of the taro stem. Then, slice lengthwise to get medium thin slices.
Step 2Prepare other ingredients
Separate the corn kernels from the core. Bring corn kernels and corn kernels to boil . Peel the carrots , wash and dice them. With shiitake mushrooms , soak in water until soft, then remove and chop finely. Red onions and garlic are washed with water, peeled and minced .
Step 3Making spring rolls
To make spring rolls, we add ground pork, minced shrimp, 2.5g seasoning powder, 5ml fish sauce, 5ml oyster sauce, 5g sugar, 1.5g monosodium glutamate, 2.5g pepper, minced onion, carrot, Bo beans, shiitake mushrooms and 5g cornstarch, 1 chicken egg , in a bowl. If you like, you can add 5ml of sesame oil . Then mix the ingredients well.
Step 4Spring roll roll
Spread taro slices on a flat surface , then add 5g of filling and roll firmly . If the taro slices have thin edges they will stick easily, but if not, we add a little more filling to the edges to stick. Roll the spring rolls one at a time in the same way and then arrange them on a plate with the edge underneath to help them stick better.
Step 5Mix fried dough
Prepare a bowl and add 150g of flour and 40g of cornstarch . Then, stir well, and slowly add the water. Continue stirring by hand until a smooth mixture is obtained.
Step 6Fried spring rolls
Put the pot on the stove, then add enough oil to deep fry. When the oil is hot, we put the spring rolls into the fried flour mixture, wait for the dough to stop flowing, then put it in the pot.
Fry until the patties are firm and golden, then remove to a plate. Wait for the patties to cool and then put them back in the frying pan for a second time for about 1 minute , then take them out and you’re done.
Step 7Finished product
