FBReader ^{[1] X Research Source} is an application used to read popular e-book formats such as: ePub, fb2, mobi, rtf, html, raw text (.txt), and many others. FBReader can run on many different platforms such as Linux, Android, Mac OS X, Windows, etc.

Go to the home page of FBReader. Go to https://fbreader.org/. This is the home page of FBReader. To install FBReader on your computer, swipe down below this homepage, go to the section FBReader for: (FBReader for:), then choose which operating system platform is suitable for your computer such as: Android , Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, Blackberry 10 or other platforms.

Prepare to install FBReader.

Type the word FBReader into the Ubuntu Software Center search field and then press the Enter key. You will see in the search results screen an icon of the FBReader software, a brief description of it, and an Install button.

Install FBReader.

Click the Install button to install FBReader. Ubuntu will ask you for permission to install the software. You have to type the admin password in the ‘ Password ‘ field and then press the ‘ Verify ‘ button below.
