There are different ways to increase the internal storage of your Android phone when your space is running low. To increase memory on your phone, you can basically move data to an SD (Secure Digital) memory card. Other quick actions include clearing cache data and large downloads, temporarily disabling some apps, and deleting photos and videos.

Click on “Delete”. A message will appear for you to confirm whether you want to delete the selected photo. Tap “Delete” to completely remove the photo or video from the Google Photos app.

Install and run GOM Saver

GOM Saver – Image and video compression tool

Download the GOM Saver app from the Google Play Store.
Run GOM Saver, the default mode will be set up.
You can see how much memory you will save by compressing videos/images.
You can delete or back up the original file to a cloud service.
The compressed photo or video will be kept on the phone.
On average you save about 50% space compared to the original file size. (Example: 5 GB of photos becomes 2.5 GB)

Transfer data to SD card

Download the Link2SD app from the Google Play Store.
Power off the phone.

  • You need to press volume button to navigate and power/home button to select because touch has no effect on recovery mode.
Tap the Link2SD app in the app drawer.
Click “Advanced” in the drop-down list of options.
Click “Partition sdcard” in the drop-down options list of the Advanced menu.
Click the extension size. This size must be smaller than the memory of the SD card.
Tap the swap size. This size must be 0.
Wait a minute.
Select “+++++go back+++++” (back).
Select “reboot system now” (reboot system now).
Start the phone.
Install the Link2SD app. The app is in the app drawer on the phone.
Tap the Link2SD app.
Click “Allow” to allow superuser permissions.
Select “Ext2” in the pop-up menu.
Select “Ok” to reboot.
Tap the Link2SD app.
Tap the “Filter” filter icon. Options appear at the top of the screen.
Click “On Internal”.
Click on the “Options” icon.
Click on “Multi-select”.
