How to Impress a Girl

Take time to perfect yourself. Take time when you’re not with her (or think about her) to feel better about yourself. You will be a new and improved guy full of confidence, whether or not she cares about that at the end of the date. Remember that you are not doing it for her now – you are doing it for yourself, doing everything to feel that you are the best version of yourself.

• Take more care of your appearance. Try being more rigorous with your daily routine, and see how it affects your image. Take care of your skin, try a different hairstyle, shower more often, try a new perfume, and make many other positive changes.
• Take control of your life. If there’s something in your life that’s beyond your control – whether it’s academically, professionally, or financially, now is the time to reframe it. Think about what you need to do to resolve the situation and return to original control. Then act now – don’t waste time pressuring yourself about it. Yes, girls are attracted to men who can control their lives. But better yet, you should be confident and trust that things will be under your control because you created them.
• Cultivate a new hobby. There’s a sport in your head that you’ve always wanted to try, right? Or maybe an area you’ve always wanted to study? Now it’s time to get started! Do your best with whatever interests you and put real focus on it. Girls love interesting guys, and having hobbies or outdoor activities will make you more interesting.

Leave some distance from her. This is the hardest thing you have to do when you seem crazy about her, but it’s the only surefire way to move beyond friendship. If you want her to see you in a new light, you have to be away from her for a while for the relationship to adjust when you start interacting again.

• Limit contact with her for at least 3 or 4 weeks. This may sound difficult, but you can do it. Be polite when you see her, but don’t date her, don’t spend too much time on the phone with her, don’t hang out with her, and only respond to her with brief texts.
• If she asks why you’re so aloof, say you’re taking the time to focus on your priorities. Tell her that it’s not personal, that you’re just working hard to accomplish a few goals in life. Most girls like guys with will and ambition; even if she gets mad that you’re not spending time with her, this will be a perfect excuse you can come up with.

• Make yourself look your best. Make an effort to look your best when you realize that you might be seeing her again soon. This way, your next date with her won’t be a surprise.
• There are clear intentions. If you want her to see you as a real boyfriend, do so. Court her. Maintain effective eye contact. Give her a long-kept compliment. Don’t fall back into old habits and act like you love her so intensely that you adore the land she sets foot on. Make her feel special but don’t devalue yourself.

Don’t go easy on your time with her. Instead of being available whenever she wants, you should make her call you because she wants your attention. For example, you won’t go out and watch romantic comedies with her while she complains about her last breakup; However, you will accept to take her out to dinner on Friday if she likes.

• Draw a clear line between what you usually do for her as friends and what you would do for her as a real boyfriend. Be careful to stick to this distinction.

Do not waste time. Once you’re back in touch, don’t wait a month to ask her if she wants the relationship to take a step forward. Do this within the week.

• Ask her about a real date. This means a dinner just the two of you. She will understand your suggestion.

• You know the old Sean Connery movie quote: “The key to a woman’s heart is an unexpected gift at an unexpected time.” The gift doesn’t have to be extravagant – try something as simple as a flower or one of her favorite things. Don’t make a big deal about giving the gift to her, simply do it with a smile and accept her gracious thanks.
