[How to] Hide your Birthday on LinkedIn
I saw a post not long ago from somebody wishing that you could hide or keep private birthday information on LinkedIn. Well, suffice to say that this got my curiosity going… and I found out how to do it. It certainly seemed like something that Microsoft should allow… and sure enough – it is. Please just follow these instructions in order to not receive birthday notifications.
First, you’ll need to access your profile. The easiest way to do this is to click on your picture in the upper right hand corner of the screen in LinkedIn.
and select the hyperlink to view your profile.
From this page you’ll need to scroll down and look for a section on the right-hand side of the page named Contact and Personal Info.
And simply click on the pencil icon to modify the information contained in this section.
From the resulting dialog – you’ll need to scroll to the bottom and change the option for who can see this information to the option for ‘Only you’ and this help you do away with those pesky birthday notifications.
