Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP) are now available for the Nintendo Switch, bringing more than 400 monsters back to the fore. Both new and old fans are rushing to boot up their Switches and take on a new adventure. Eevee is one of the more adorable Generation I entries. A rather simple Normal-type, it’s power lies in interactions with Evolution Stones.

The crux of this adorable Pokémon is that it’s an Evolution machine, hence the wordplay of a name. Players are meant to use a certain evolution stone to customize Eevee into certain forms. There are a bunch of different Eveelutions. Here’s how to get your hands on Eevee in BDSP.

How to get Eevee in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

There are a few steps you need to complete to get ready for this. The first thing you need to do is meet with Professor Rowan in Sandgem Town after completing the Sinnoh regional Dex. The professor will give you the National Dex, unlocking more progress in the game. This is also how you unlock the PokéRadar, which you will need to get some Pokémon. Head to Rowan’s house once you have seen the first 151 entries and collect that.

After that, Dawn and Rowan will tell you to visit Bebe in Hearthome City. Fly over there and look in the house right next to the Pokémon center. When you go and talk to Bebe, they should give you an Eevee.

To get more Eevees in the games, you can either trade for them or you can pair them with a Ditto at the Pokemon Daycare Center to get some eggs. This is the best way to get Shiny variants as well. Getting each Evolution

To get all the Eevee evolutions in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, they’ll need 6 Eevees in total. Use evolution stones to get Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon. For Espeon and Umbreon, players will need to raise their Eevee’s friendship. The friendship mechanic can be raised by battling with and training Evee, as well as walking with it out of its ball.

Leafeon and Glaceon need to be evolved by training an Eevee to the right levels in certain in-game zones. There are two locations in the game with special moss-covered rocks you need to find. The idea is to interact with these rocks and then get one level in an Eevee to unlock that form. Each rock is surrounded by tall grass, making this very easy.

To get Glaceon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you need to level up an Eevee in the grass outside Snowpoint City.

Leafeon can only be obtained by taking an Eevee to the grass patch in Eterna Forest surrounding the mossy rock. Train for one level there to finish up.
