🎨 Parents: The only tools you need to use these how-to-draw tutorials are: an eraser, a pencil, and a piece of paper. But – if you have them around – a sketching pencil makes for fainter and softer lines that help kids build fine motor accuracy. I also recommend going over the sketch pencil with a black outline marker when you’re done for a neater finish. Lastly, erase the pencil marks before adding color.
A Step-by-Step Guide on How to Draw a Bunny
- Bunnies may look complicated to draw, but we have simpler steps for you. Let’s draw an egg-like shape with two small parallel circles inside it for the bunny’s face.
- In between the eyes, draw a small oval nose and extend a short line beneath it.
- From the short line, draw two short curved lines to create the mouth.
- Then enclose a rounded triangle beneath the mouth to outline the tongue.
- Draw two short horizontal whiskers on each side of the bunny’s face.
- Then, at the top of the head, enclosing a long, narrow shape, using a curved line on each side and put smaller curves inside each.
- For the body, draw an oval connected beneath the bunny’s head with a curved line through the bunny’s body, nearly enclosing a circle. This is the bunny’s leg. Draw the foot using a curved line to have a rounded shape beneath the leg.
- Let’s add more details to make it more like a bunny by drawing the bunny’s front feet. Use a curved line to enclose an irregular shape beneath the bunny’s chest. Then, enclose a second shape behind the first using a short, curved line.
- For the final step, draw the bunny’s fluffy tail. Use several curved lines to enclose an irregular shape creating a cloud-like formation.
- What a cute and fluffy bunny! Since most bunnies are white with big red eyes, but you can also choose your bunny color and eye color. Some rabbits even have blue eyes! Bunny rabbits also come in so many shades and patterns. We drew a bunny with tall big ears but Holland Lops are actually a breed that has ears that completely flop. They are very very cute too!
