Instructions
Step 1: Draw the Body
Start by drawing an imperfect triangle shape with a curvy edge on the other side. This shape will be the body of your airplane and will be the foundation of your drawing.
Step 2: Draw the Wing Guide
Next, we will draw the wing guide by adding a long rectangular shape on top of the first step. And make sure that this shape is a bit slanted to add proper perspective in our drawing.
Step 3: Draw the Upper and Lower Wings
In this step, you will add the upper and lower wings by drawing two oblong shapes on the edges of the rectangle shape you draw previously. Make sure that there is a straight line in the middle o the oblong shapes to have proper balance in your wings and to have a cleaner drawing.
Step 4: Clear the Extra Lines
This step is super easy to do. You just need to remove the wing guide that you drew earlier and clear the lines of your wings. This step will emphasize the wings of your airplane.
Step 5: Remove Overlapping Lines in the Body
Just like step number four, you will need to remove some extra lines but this time, it is to emphasize the body and the wings of your airplane. By removing the overlapping lines, you will be able to properly show which is the body and which are the wings of your airplane.
Step 6: Add the Nose Guide
Now that we are done with the body and wings, it’s time for us to proceed to the nose part of the airplane. You can do this by drawing a small oblong shape near the straight edge of your imperfect triangle. This will serve as your nose guide and will become the foundation of your propellers.
Step 7: Draw the Nose and Wheels
The next step that you need to do is to draw the nose and the wheels of your airplane. For the nose part, you just need to the a curvy triangle inside your nose guide and have one side of your shape overlap to the edge.
For the wheels, you just need to draw to oval shapes below the airplane. One shape should be drawn higher than the other to add consistency in your drawing.
Step 8: Draw the Body
Start by drawing a large imperfect oval shape that represents the airplane’s body. The shape should be larger on one side and sharper on the other side. This is so you can emphasize where the tail and nose of the airplane will be.
Step 9: Connect all the Parts
In this step, we will be connecting all the parts by drawing zigzag lines in between the wings and another zigzag line in between the wheels. Aside from this, we will draw the propeller by drawing 3 stretched oval shape in the nose part of your plane.
Here’s a great set of coloring books for kids. This collection will keep your kids busy for a long time.
When you are done with the zigzag lines and the propeller, it’s time to add the tail by drawing 3 curvy triangles. One should be drawn vertically on the edge, and the other two should be drawing horizontally — one on each side.
Step 10: Remove Extra Lines
In this step, we will be removing all of the extra lines to emphasize all the parts of your airplane. By removing the extra lines, you will have a cleaner drawing and will have a much cooler airplane.
Step 11: Draw the Final Touches
In this last step, we will be adding the final touches of your airplane. Draw inner circles of your wheels and draw extra curvy lines on the nose of your airplane. Once that’s done, you now have your airplane! Congratulations!
After this, you can freely add your name on the body of your airplane and draw anything that you like. Feel free to express your creativity after following all the steps.
