How to copy a playlist on Spotify
If you’re listening to someone else’s playlist and wish a certain song was gone or included, you’re out of luck. Unless it’s collaborative, you cannot edit others’ Spotify playlists. You can, however, copy all of the songs from another playlist into one that you can manipulate. While this is effectively the same thing as merging or combining playlists, if you just want to make a copy of that playlist, you can do that as well. Here’s how to copy a playlist on Spotify.
THE SHORT ANSWER
To copy a Spotify playlist, open the Spotify desktop app. Navigate to the playlist you wish to copy > press CTRL+A to highlight all songs > right-click the highlighted songs > hover your cursor over Add to playlist > click Create playlist.
On Android and iOS, go to the playlist > press ⠇> select Add to other playlist. To create a copy of that playlist, select the green New Playlist button at the top.
KEY SECTIONS
The ability to copy playlists is invaluable when it comes to moving around your favorite songs. Say, for example, you are being added to a family plan and have to start using a different account. The new account will not have all your saved Liked Songs or playlists. If you make your old account’s playlists public, you can copy those playlists to a new one on your new account. The same thing goes for Liked Songs.

This shortcut (CTRL+A) works for everything on Spotify, including Liked Songs, playlists, albums, artist pages, and more. It allows you to highlight everything on that page.
