If you still see ads after installing an ad blocker: This is because ads and websites are constantly changing, so the ad blocker cannot recognize all ads, especially when the new version has not been updated. If you see an ad, right-click the ad blocker to pause or disable the ad. This helps the ad blocker recognize the ad, and you won’t see it anymore.
Use Adblock Plus on your computer
Google Chrome. It’s a red, yellow, green and blue spherical icon.
- Adblock Plus has no connection with AdBlock.
- You also see the browser name on this button.
- Chrome will refresh the page when the Adblock Plus extension installation is complete.
- If this box is unchecked, Adblock Plus is blocking annoying ads.
- If you don’t see this option, make sure you have the Filter lists tab open.
Advice
- You can add ad-type-specific filters (such as ads displayed on the side of a Facebook page) to Adblock Plus and AdBlock right from the extension’s Options menu.
Warning
- You may not be able to visit some websites while using an ad blocker. To access these sites, you need to whitelist them by opening your ad blocker’s Options page, selecting Whitelist , and entering the website’s URL.
