How to Apply to Become an Uber Driver

Go to https://get.uber.com/drive/ to create an account. Find the registration area on the right side of the page. Fill in your full name, phone number, password (with at least five characters), and city. Use the drop-down menu “Where did you hear about us?” (Where did you hear about us?) to choose the one that best suits your experience. If you have an invite code from a friend who is a driver for Uber, fill it in: your friend can get a bonus for referring you. Once you have filled in all the required information, click “Next”.

However, if you are penalized for drinking while driving or driving without insurance, the chances of failing are quite high. ^[9]

Locate the nearest Uber permit you can find ^[10] . Know that they may not be as common. Call the location closest to you and see if there is one closer.

Define some time frames and take notes. You will need it more than once.

Make sure you have everything you need, as mentioned above.

Chat with Uber staff there. Most likely there will be several ways to sign up (most likely on small tablets). You log in before receiving the test.

Give all the appropriate information and show the proper paperwork. Once you have completed this stage, you will have to wait for a background check.

Take the Defense Driving Course and the online City Knowledge test (if required). An Uber employee will provide you with a URL that links to the website, or you can find them online.

Return to an Uber station in a week or so. They will email you to let you know, but just in case your spam box has destroyed it talk to them to see if it gets done.

Receive a Letter of Authorization/Certificate. You will need that to get a business license.

Get your business license and return to the Uber station. They will need a copy to add to your file.

Stick the Uber decals on the car door and start driving.

Consider driving for uberTAXI or UberBlack. You will use your commercial vehicle to drive for Uber in addition to any other taxi or private chauffeur services you work for. As a result, you can claim a higher base salary, pay by the minute, and pay by miles than a typical Uber driver.

Register to drive for uberTAXI. You will be prompted to fill in basic contact information, to create an account, and a description of the company: taxi company/radio association, company name, full address and vehicle registration book . Once you enter the information, click “Summit”.

Sign up to drive UberBlack. You will be prompted to fill in basic contact information to create an account and describe some information about the company: company name and full address. You will be asked to agree to the background check by filling in your license information, date of birth, and social security number. Once you have entered the information, click “Submit”.
