After the success of all previous four seasons, it is now expected of the studio to release Haikyuu season 5. When will it release, when will the trailer arrive, the plot, the cast, where to watch it, and many more questions will be answered in this article!
Will There Be A Haikyuu Season 5?
We have all been asking for the trailer of season 5 and have been anxiously waiting for it, yet we don’t even know if there will be a season 5. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all animes and their studios have taken a big hit. Consequently, many animes are being dropped by their respective studios, never to be adapted again.
This has raised a significant worry for fans worldwide if they will ever see Haikyuu’s story progress or if they’re going to have to turn to the manga (original source material). As of now, it is confirmed that there is indeed going to be a season 5 of Haikyuu. Earlier this year, a staff member also confirmed this by saying that the work has begun, and fans should expect a Season 5.
Haikyuu Season 5 Release Date
The good news is that there will be a season 5, but now the question arises, WHEN? This might be a little disappointing for fans, but there is no release date provided by Studio Production I.G as of now. Our initial predictions have proven wrong, but as it seems, the show might be debuting sometime during the Fall 2022 season, although we still have to wait for an official confirmation of this.
An official release date (or a release window, at least) is probably going to be revealed in August 2022, during the special 10th-anniversary event. Since the anime cast members are set to appear at the event, we assume that we will get an official announcement on the fifth season as well.
Still, further delays should not be taken out of account as the Coronavirus situation might get worse in Japan. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen, but we should also be calm and patient and try to avoid giving the studio and its animators harsh or constructive criticism because they are facing lockdown restrictions.
Another thing that might answer the delay is the budget cut and the lack of animators in anime studios.
Haikyuu Season 5 Trailer
Now that we know about the release date and its complications, it’s time we talk about the trailer. Haikyuu is not the type of anime to break the internet or manage to create massive hype when its trailer releases, but considering the delays and all the uncertainties, I think fans deserve a trailer so that they can get excited and feel the vibe for what’s next to come.
Haikyuu Season 5 Trailer might release sooner than you think. It is speculated that it might release in early-mid November. Let’s pray we get more information about the trailer to get more tease-ups that excite us for Season 5.
Significant Achievements Of Haikyuu (Anime And Manga)
After it started airing in April 2014, people realized why this Shonen Manga was so popular in Japan. Till now, the Haikyuu Manga has sold over 50 million copies!! And if you think it’s normal to achieve, you’re entirely wrong, and it is an achievement that should be appreciated.
The Manga Haikyuu also won the 61st best Shonen series in 2021. Now, Haikyuu anime won the ‘Crunchyroll anime awards’ for the ‘Best Boy’. Furthermore, the anime received nominations for the ‘Best protagonist’ and ‘Best opening’. Haikyuu also got nominated in the IGN summer movie awards for the best anime series in 2016.

Haikyuu Season 5 Plot (POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!!!)
The 5th season of Haikyuu will take Hinata on a new journey to go to high school. As for his volleyball career, it is expected that the story will mainly focus on Hinata and his developments as he takes his new experiences into account.
Season 5 will mainly excite the people for the match between Karasuno High and Nekoma High. This will be the highest intensity match of the series as this will be the most formidable challenge our gang has ever faced. It is quite possible that season 5 might start right from the Nationals tournament, where Hinata’s skills will be tested.
Haikyuu Season 4 Summary
This season of Haikyuu consisted of 2 parts. It had a total of 25 episodes. Both parts of season 4 of shonen anime Haikyuu gained the most popularity beating the previous three because of insane character development and hype moments. Season 4 gave us many moments to remember and cherish.
One of them is winning the qualifiers and qualifying for the national, and stepping into the big leagues as our gang faces bigger and better challenges and something new to look for. One sad moment for all of us was Hinata’s setbacks as he could not provide the contributions he should have.

Haikyuu Season 3 Summary
The third season of popular anime and manga Haikyuu broadcasted from October to December 2016. It had fewer episodes than the past and future seasons. With just ten episodes released, it wrapped up an arc to move to season 4.
This season mainly focused on the development of Kageyama and Hinata as a duo and how they showed outstanding performances day in day out despite setbacks as they always showed the resolve to get back up.
This season gave other team members significant character developments as well. Players from the bench improved their game and harnessed their skills to show they weren’t any less than others.
Although this was the shortest season, it gave fans a lot to admire about.

Where to watch Haikyuu Season 5?
Here’s how and where you can watch the Haikyuu Season 5:
Netflix
One of the most popular streaming services, Netflix, has everything you could imagine, including animes, but the problem is that it takes some time to stream it. The same goes for Haikyuu, it will eventually be available to watch, but it will take some time.
Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime is another place where you can watch some animes, but like Netflix, it takes a few weeks before you’ll get to see it here
Crunchyroll
Crunchyroll is the number 1 platform for all anime watchers as it has a comprehensive list of animes with which no other platform can compete. Anime fans consider Crunchyroll to be the home of animes as the majority of animes get released as soon as it airs. Now that Crunchyroll and its competitor ‘Funimation’ are one, no one can compete against them when it comes to anime.
How many episodes are in each season?

Why Is Haikyuu So Popular?
Haikyuu is a mixture of both comedy and drama and a lot of volleyball. It has generic school rivalries, problems, and a good storyline. Its humor has made millions laugh and made people obsessed with this anime. It also has wholesome moments and beautiful friendships depicting the true meaning of friends.
It also has a realism to it in terms of real-life problems school students face all around the globe. Haikyuu is now unarguably the most popular sports anime with many fans and even fanbases of individual characters. Stans have made Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc., accounts dedicated to certain characters and sow their love for them.
Should I Watch Haikyuu?
Most of us are still restricted to a certain amount by COVID-19 restrictions, so I would recommend giving this series a try and finding out for yourself why it has amassed so many fans. Even if you don’t like volleyball, I’m sure you will relate to those characters and get attached to them and will be able to feel all their sorrows and happiness.
It has a comedy theme, so it might become your comfort show that you’ll re-watch many more times.
I would rate Haikyuu a solid eight and would definitely recommend you watch it if you haven’t watched this anime before. This might be your entrance into the anime community to watch and enjoy many more masterpieces.
Can We Expect Haikyuu Season 6?
Season 5 might be the last season of Haikyuu, not because of anime production, but because season 5 might wrap up the story that the manga provided, which ended in 2020. Whether the anime production studio decides to follow the Manga story or not will determine that.
