- Travelers can unlock the “Contested Zone” by unlocking the Statue of the Seven in the corresponding area. The “Contested Zones” in Inazuma can only be unlocked by completing the Quest “Ritou Escape Plan” and unlocking the Statue of the Seven in the area. Travelers can view the currently unlocked content through the preview of the “Contested Zone” in the game overview.
- Windtrace Coins can only be obtained while playing in randomized games using the matching function. You will be unable to obtain Windtrace Coins while playing in a custom Co-Op party.
- Kamisato Ayaka and Mona’s Alternate Sprints cannot be used in this Windtrace.
Event Gameplay
Players can select which Contested Zones they can play on by selecting Game Preview after talking to Gygax then choosing Change Map on the bottom right of the screen.
Hunter Windward Arts:
- Mysterious Hunch (Normal Attack): Briefly show the directions where all the Rebels are located.
- Hunter’s Net (Normal Attack): After holding, throw out a net. This net will dispel the disguises used by Rebels in a specific AOE and destroys all Beacons in this area. At this time, the Hunter’s vision will not be obstructed as a result. If there are Rebels within the net’s AOE, the Hunter will receive a hint.
- Sensor Aura (Normal Attack): Scout a fixed area around yourself. You will be notified if the area contains a Rebel. If a scouted Rebel moves, Sprints, jumps, or glides within the next 5s, a marking pillar of light will be left at their current position for 5s.
- Capture! (Elemental Skill): Dispel the disguise of a nearby rebel and capture them.
- Imprisoning Curse (Elemental Burst): Randomly dispels the disguise of one Rebel and restrains them for a time. During this time, the target will be unable to leave the restraining area. The Rebels will be warned of this action.
- Insight (Elemental Burst): Dispels the disguises of all Rebels and briefly marks their location on the minimap while showing the position of nearby Rebels on the scene with a pillar of light. During this time, the Rebels will be unable to disguise themselves. The Rebels will be warned of this action.
- Hunter’s Intuition (Elemental Burst): Randomly dispels the disguise of one Rebel and marks their location on the minimap for a long period of time. If the target is nearby, their location will be marked by a pillar of light. The target cannot Disguise themselves for the duration of this effect. The Rebels will be warned of this action.
Rebel Windward Arts:
- Concealing Beacon (Normal Attack): Place a Concealing Beacon. While near to this Beacon, the Rebels will be invisible and cannot be discovered by the Hunter until the Beacon is destroyed. If the Hunter uses “Capture!” on the Concealing Beacon, they will have their vision obscured for a short time.
- Transparency (Normal Attack): Enter hidden mode temporarily. During this time, you cannot be seen by the Hunter. Entering this mode will dispel your current disguise. The Hunter’s Windward Arts “Capture!,” “Mysterious Hunch,” and “Sensor Aura” will all still take effect against a hidden Rebel.
- Disguise (Elemental Skill):
- Press: Randomly disguise as one of the specialized objects in the area.
- Hold: Remove the disguise.
- The disguise will be removed when you glide or swim.
- Starstep (Elemental Burst): Movement SPD is greatly increased for the next 30 seconds.
- Illusory Beacon (Normal Attack):
- This can only be used while in Observer Mode.
- Place an Illusory Beacon ahead of you to confuse the Hunter. If the Hunter uses “Capture!” on the Beacon, their vision will be limited for a short time.
During the Windtrace event, players will be split into two sides to play the “Rebels” and the “Hunter.”
The Rebels must avoid the Hunter’s pursuit and hold out till the time expires.
The Hunter’s task, on the other hand, is to capture all the Rebels within the stipulated time.
The Hunter not only possesses faster Movement SPD and greatly decreased Stamina consumption, but can also use extremely powerful Windward Arts. Their Windward Arts have the ability to seek the opposition out, expose disguises and more.
As for the Rebels, they can use their Windward Arts to disguise themselves as specific objects on the map, place bait, or temporarily enter a hidden state.
During the game, “Favors” will descend upon the area at random.
Picking up one such “Favor” will help charge one’s “Secret Favor,” an art that can be decisive in determining victory or defeat.
Take part in Windtrace to obtain Windtrace Coins. Accumulate them to unlock all sorts of prizes.
When forming a custom Co-Op party to play this game or when your Windtrace Coins have reached the current maximum, you will not obtain any Windtrace Coins.
In this iteration of Windtrace, Rebels in Observer Mode can now help instead of simply waiting for the round to end! After being captured by a Hunter, Rebels will enter Observer Mode. While in this state, they can continue to place Illusory Beacons to help other Rebels play.
Event Objectives
- Use Hunter’s Net to detect 1 Rebel
- Detect a total of 2 Rebels using the Sensor Aura
- Win once as a Rebel while in Disguise
- Obtain at least one “Favor” during a single match
- Place at least 3 “Illusory Beacons” during a single match
