Elden Ring Multiplayer and Co-Op Guide: Everything You Need to Know about Playing with Friends and PvP Modes

Elden Ring is on track to be one of the best games of 2022 and nothing can stop its rise to glory. It is already setting records everywhere as it reached a peak of 700,000 active viewers on Twitch. To add to the excitement, a Japanese game developer even declared a holiday on February 23, 2022 so its employees can play the game.

Elden Ring is a deep and extensive, fantasy, role-playing, open-world, action-adventure game that needs the players to understand its complex mechanics and modes before diving in.

One of the modes that players have been particularly inquisitive about is the PVP CO-OP Mode. Elden Ring is already a fantastic game, but being able to enjoy the beauty, slaying dangerous enemies, and surviving with your friends makes the gaming experience sublime. Many players have been wondering how does the CO-OP mode work and what steps they need to take to play the game in CO-OP PVP mode.

Elden Ring CO-OP Mode Explained

CO-OP in Elden Ring does not work like mainstream games. To use this feature, the players will have to first gather some vital items to begin the summoning process. There are two items that are required to perform the summoning, Furlcalling Finger Remedy and Tarnished Furled Finger.

Through the Furlcalling Finger Remedy, the players will be able to summon other players that will aid them against the adversities they face in their respective world. When using the Furlcalling Finger Remedy the players will be able to see summoning signs for each player on the ground, they can then select a particular summoning sign to call that specific player.

Players will also have to create a summoning sign for themselves in order to be invited into another player’s world. This summoning sign can be created through the Tarnished Furled Finger. The Tarnished Furled Finger can be found at one of the Sites of Grace in Elden Ring that is located near the Stranded Graveyard. Here the players will come across a corpse that they need to acquire the Tarnished Furled Finger from.

The Furlcalling Finger Remedy is a one-time use item and the player will need to either craft them with Erdleaf Flowers or find them while traversing through the world. Tarnished Furled Finger isn’t a one-time use item. There is also another way that players can summon other players but this is directed more towards boss battles. Right before entering a boss battle area players can use the summoning pool, which located near a statue in that area, to summon players to aid them in the battle.

Elden Ring PVP Mode Explained

In Elden Ring, there is feature that players can use to either invade a specific player’s game or call and invader to their world. If the players wish to invade another player’s world, then they will first have to get their hands on the Festering Bloody Finger. This special item will be used to match the player with another player that falls in the same summoning range.

Players can also summon different players to their world and test their might against each other. This procedure can be performed by first obtaining the Duelist’s Furled Finger. Through this item the players can either summon or get summoned to another player’s world and indulge in the test of strengths.

The goal of PVP battling is the same for each type, if the player is the host, then they will have to defeat the other player to send them back to their world. If the player is not the host, then they will have to defeat the other player to get sent back to their own world. Players can also obtain another item called the Finger Severer to either leave the host’s world or kick the other player if they are the host, just in case things aren’t turning out the way they wanted.

P.S: Keep in mind that players will not be able to kick out invaders from their world.
