Former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall has shared an incredible throwback picture of himself from when he was 16-years-old, stunning fans who think he looks 30s or 40s.
Posting the old snap on Instagram, Hall wrote: “16 year old Beast.”
He also tagged the location as ‘Nipple City’, although he appears to be on holiday somewhere sunny.
Many people rushed to the comments to remark on how grown-up he looked, with one saying: “No way you are 16 here.”
Another said: “16 mate you look live you’ve got a job on the doors, a £250k mortgage and 4 kids.”
Another said he looked ’30’, while a fourth went one step further, saying: “Jeez you look 40.”
One fan said Hall was ‘already a beast at 16’, and another joked: “Definitely was buying beer for everyone in high school without a fakie.”
Some users claimed they had seen the picture before in a transformation video, where Hall had apparently said he was 20 at the time and that his caption had been a joke.
But whether he’s still a teenager or aged 20 in the snap, there’s no denying he looks hench beyond his years.
Hall won the World’s Strongest Man competition back in 2017 after beating defending champion Brian Shaw.
More recently, however, he’s been focusing on getting himself into shape as he prepares to fight Game of Thrones’ Hafþór Björnsson next September, having been documenting his health kick on social media and YouTube.
Earlier this year, he revealed he’d managed to shed five-and-a-half stone since winning the World’s Strongest Man competition three and a half years ago.
Hall shared a post on Instagram showing off his impressive weight loss, with a photo on the left showing what he looked like in 2017, while a second snap showed what he looks like now.
He wrote in the caption: “Left ️- 2017 @ 196kg / 432lbs. Right – 2021 @ 161kg / 355lbs.
“3 years difference and 36kg [5.7st] lost!”
Last September, he also revealed he’d been keeping an eye on his fitness and nutrition to ensure he’s in best shape for the big day, chowing down on 7,000 calories a day – almost three times the recommended intake for an adult male.
As for working out, Hall said he’d been pushing himself with gruelling daily cardio, swimming and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) sessions.
He’s also been learning the art of boxing, which is apparently ‘whole new ballgame’ for Hall, who said the sport ‘requires a different kind of fitness and endurance to Strongman’.
