Materials

In today’s lesson, we will learn how to draw a Christmas angel drawing easy on paper. The shape and proportion of each part will be pointed out in each step of the tutorial. Note that the blue lines are used to indicate the new elements being drawn in each in each of the steps.

Time Needed: 30 minutes

1. Form The Head

   First, draw the U-shaped outline of the angel’s head. Next, draw two circles for the eyes. Add the eyebrows by drawing short curved lines above the eyes. Now, form the nose by drawing a line curving downwards. Then, add a line curving upwards to form the angel’s smile. Don’t forget to draw the ears on each side of the angel’s head!

2. Add The Hair

   Add the angel’s fluffy hair by drawing a bumpy shape on top of the head.

3. Draw The Halo

   Now, draw a ring-shaped outline floating above the angel’s head to add the halo.

4. Attach The Neck

   Draw a small curved line below the head to form the neck.

5. Outline The Hands

   Form two triangles to draw the outline of the hands.

6. Add The Arms

   Next, form the curving shape of the angel’s folded arms connecting the base of the head to the hands.

7. Form The Dress

   Now, draw the angel’s long flowy dress below the arms as shown.

8. Attach The Wings

   Form the bumpy shape of the wings attached to the angel’s back.

9. Complete The Christmas Angel Drawing

   Let’s add some color to our drawing of a Christmas angel! First, fill the eyes with a black crayon. Next, color the head, neck and hands with a peach crayon. Now, shade the hair with an orange crayon. Don’t forget to fill the halo with a yellow crayon. Then, color the angel’s dress with a light shade of blue. Finally, shade the wings with a white crayon.
