Apparently JetBlue has a quota to meet as to how many people they charge for carry on luggage. 2. Refused to allow me to request my seat ahead of time to try and charge a $50 fee for an upgraded seat, even though by purchasing a ticket, I am guaranteed a seat on the plane. 3. Late once again. So far every flight taken by JetBlue this year has been late. My only on time flight this year has been with Delta. I do believe they are the new Spirit Airlines in disguise. This airline has been moved to the bottom of my list. I may take them once more but it depends on how many points I have with them, if it’s enough to cover a free trip. If it doesn’t, I will forfeit as the aggravation and nasty behaviour at the check in counter especially at LaGuardia is too much to take. They are also every discriminatory at that airport also, especially the people who work at JetBlue. I have to take responsibility for keep trying. It the same as beating a dead horse and expecting it to get up and run.”

I won a $50 Delta gift certificate! The captain had good communication with the passengers to keep us informed.”

Cons: “Our flight was originally scheduled for departure at 7:45 PM. We got an alert stating that the flight was going to be delayed but we were already almost to the airport when I received the first message on my smartphone. We received three additional alerts making our total wait time at the airport 5½ hours before we could approach the gate and board the aircraft. Seating in immediate gate area was not comfortable. Boarding was chaotic at best with very little control and guidance provided by Delta staff. The audio over the PA system was difficult to decipher much of the time. The only other available boarding status information was presented on the screens stationed near the gate and indicated PREMIUM the entire time during our boarding process and was never updated. We literally had to scramble through the crowd to get to the gate desk and get our boarding passes validated so we could board our flight with our group of passengers. Our seating on board the aircraft was thankfully good which is why I rated Comfort as Okay. We were saddled with one more delay after the flight left the gate and taxied briefly down the runway and then sat there for almost an hour. My suggestions to improve customer satisfaction based on my experience would include the following 1. Provide extended alerts for passengers travelling especially if the anticipated delay is known to the airline more than 2 hours before scheduled flight time. 2. Improve seating in the waiting areas near all Delta gates. 3. Re-orient all staff in proper boarding process and utilizing all available resources properly to provide clear and intelligible (not speeding) overhead audio messaging and current boarding status prompts on displays. 4. Maintain or replace audio equipment if necessary to help improve quality of audio messaging in all boarding areas.”

The rest of the flight was quiet, uneventful, and pleasant in part due to their good nature. I cannot have gluten or soy, and I was brought a complimentary bag of potato chips that were gluten free – the one and only time this has happened! I hope to fly with this crew again someday.”

Then they expect people who have been waiting on the plane to not need to use the restrooms. “The pilot has not turned off the seat-belt sign yet” is true, but also you boarded us late and then couldn’t get up into the air right away. Also, our checked bag didn’t arrive with us. We’re waiting to here if it was lost or not.”

Very same agents that checked me in at ticketing and said nothing about my carry on bag. This airline extorts money from passengers, pay up or miss your flight”

Cons: “During a severe snowstorm Sun Country would not make the call to cancel our flight! Almost everything was canceled at 1pm when they shut down the airport…but our flight and 2 other Sun Country flights. So we had to fight the storm to get there in unsafe conditions!!!! As we watched the storm get worse, we actually had to board the plane! Then we had to deboard when the airport shut down again.. I felt very unsafe! By the time they finally canceled at 5:30 we were barely able to get the last cab from the airport. Sun Country put us in a dangerous situation to save a few dollars by not canceling the flight!! I was a flight attendant for Sun Country for a short time and thought I had seen a lot, but this was a very poor judgement call!!”

They didn’t seem to be very accommodating or apologetic and I didn’t even offer compensation to those who had to stay overnight to wait for the next flight out. C’mon AA. Step it up! I would think that if you cancel a flight, you should help your customers get home the same day. Do whatever you can. I don’t think you did whatever you could for most of us on that flight.”

I WILL TRY NOT TO FLY IN AA AGAIN.”

My only real issue was that when I booked this flight through Kayak, I somehow booked via BudgetAir.com (though I was on your website.) Due to this, I was unable to access boarding passes coming or going via the Kayak app, or the Allegient app. Luckily I was able to print them prior to leaving home (and the resort printed them for on the way back), but using this site is definitely something I’ll have to consider for my trip. I should have been able to access boarding passes electronically via the app regardless.

Cons: “We arrived 3.5 hours early and the line was very long. They must have had a system glitch but didn’t communicate to anyone in the line as to what was going on. When it did come time to board, they told everyone in the line that was going to Cincinnati that we couldn’t check in until 2 hours before the departure time. Apparently there were some other flights that left before us. If they had told us to keep our place in line and to let other people through, that wouldn’t have been a problem. But, they didn’t. Their own website says you should check baggage at least 2 hours before your flight and no more than 4 hours before. They took it upon themselves to change the rules on people who arrive early. Then, once they no longer had anyone else to check in, they changed their rules again and start checking in people for Cincinnati about 2.5 hours ahead of time. A little communication and brain power from the staff would have gone a long way. After all that mess, the flight was delayed leaving about 15 minutes without any updates from Allegiant either.”
