Celebrities Who Lost Their Virginity to Other Stars: From Nick and Jessica to Selena and Justin

Trading in your v-card is a pretty huge deal, but when you’re taking that milestone with a famous star, we imagine it can be even more nerve-wracking.

During an episode of Barstool Sports’ “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Miley Cyrus revealed that she lost her virginity to her now ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth, when she was 16.

“I didn’t go all the way with a dude until I was 16 … but I ended up marrying the guy,” she said about The Hunger Games actor. The pair wed in December 2018 after dating on-and-off for years and finalized their divorce in January 2020.

Meanwhile, Ricki Lake once divulged that she, too, lost her virginity to a star but didn’t name names. “[I lost my virginity while filming] Cry-Baby. Not to Johnny Depp. [It was to] another actor, a really handsome actor,” she shared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “He was very kind to me, and I was very large. I was very happy to get it over with because I was almost 21. He was really sweet. My first time was really a good one.”

As for Joe Jonas, his first time almost didn’t happen the way he planned. “I lost my virginity to this girl named Ashley. You can probably just Google it. It’s pretty easy to figure out. I dated a girl named Ashley, so just Google it to figure out which Ashley that is,” the Jonas Brothers member said in his Reddit AMA, referring to Ashley Greene.

He continued, “It’s quite the great story because I didn’t have any condoms, so I went to our drummer Jack’s room, who was my roommate at the time, and I demolished his room looking for them. Found them underneath his underwear drawer. When he came home, he thought somebody broke into his room because his whole room was demolished because I was in dire need. Needed to happen then and now. Safety first, kids.”

Hilary Duff lost her virginity to Joel Madden.

During her Cosmopolitan interview in 2015, Hilary made it pretty clear that she lost her virginity to the Good Charlotte member. “I had a 26-year-old boyfriend,” she said, referring to Joel. “So everyone can make their own assumptions about what I was doing.”

The actress opened up about losing her virginity to Michael. She said, “I was so young, 18, when I started dating him. I was a virgin. I knew I wanted to be in love with the first person I slept with because for almost everyone I knew, the first experience made them feel like s–t.”

Beyonce lost her virginity to Jay Z.

In one of her interviews, the “Formation” singer said, “People would be surprised as to the lack of experiences I’ve had. When I was 12, 13, I had my first boyfriend, and he was my boyfriend till I was 17.”

But then she went on to imply that she basically lost her virginity to her current husband, Jay Z. “Though I was too young [during my first relationship] for it to really be a boyfriend – we didn’t live together, we didn’t, you know … That was my only experience with a guy, and since then, I’ve only had one other boyfriend in my life – Jay.”

Jordin Sparks lost her virginity to Jason Derulo.

When Jason was asked if Jordin was a virgin when they started dating, he said, “Uh yeah … she was.” And when he was asked about their sex life in another interview, he commented, “It wasn’t a problem in that area at all.”

But Jason wasn’t the only one who opened up about this. Jordin also appeared on The Wendy Williams Show and confirmed that she was no longer wearing her purity ring, which means she definitely traded it in for her v-card.

Justin reportedly bragged about taking Selena’s virginity when he told a friend, “I knew she was in love with me when she gave me her virginity.”

The “Hands to Myself” singer never denied it — in fact, she basically confirmed it when she said, “I’m also not embarrassed to say that the [purity] ring has come off. I got it when I was 13, and I respect so much what it represented, but it isn’t for everyone.”

Tia Mowry-Hardrict lost her virginity to Cory Hardrict.

Tia admitted that she’s only ever had one boyfriend, which is her husband. In an interview, she revealed that she held out on kissing him for over a year and waited even longer to get physical.

“I think the one thing I did do was I just held out. We weren’t physical, we didn’t do anything for a while to make sure this was something special and this was something real. That’s what we did. And also my husband … we courted each other for about a year. We didn’t go on dates with just him and I, there were other people around. We waited a year to kiss. That’s basically what I did,” she said.
