TikTok influencer and OnlyFans star Tara Lynn is facing backlash after criticizing people who are “in bed” during the day, saying “nobody wants to work anymore”.
The video was posted to Lynn’s @taraswrld TikTok account on September 1, where she has 4.8 million followers. Speaking directly into the camera from her car, she criticized the content she had seen on BeReal, a photo-sharing app that allows users to share unfiltered and unedited photos taken simultaneously with the front and rear cameras within a two -Minute window that changes every day.
“This BeReal could start at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, whatever – everyone’s in bed. Every time BeReal comes on, there’s an alarming amount of people just lying in bed with the blinds drawn,” Lynn said. “Why are you in bed? It seems nobody wants to work, get your damn ass up and work!”
Describing herself as “the most productive person ever,” Lynn wrote in the caption, “I’m not a hater, it’s just so funny to me.” The video, which has been viewed 4.3 million times, garnered a flurry of reactions , in which the creator was criticized for her comments.
Several commenters said they suffered from chronic physical and mental health issues that meant they were unable to work or had to spend time in bed during the day.

Dozens of people have also posted their own “Stitch” videos in response, asking Lynn for her privilege.
“The reason you see people in bed a lot on BeReal isn’t necessarily because they’re not working. It’s because we work hard, have tough jobs and are tired,” said TikTok user @eveline.
“Girls, let me tell you why we don’t get up and why we’re in our beds in the middle of the damn day doesn’t pay off even though we work 40+ hours a week,” said Emily Ward, a Colorado-based artist.
The story goes on
Lynn’s comments were particularly inflammatory for some given that she’s a professional influencer, a career many don’t consider a “real job” — although influencers have spoken out in the past about the difficulties of building a brand from scratch and juggling forward Planning and behind-the-scenes chores and the mental issues involved in running a successful account.
In a follow-up video on September 2, Lynn said the original video was “a joke” and called her critics “insane.”
“I was talking about my friends that I have on BeReal. I have about 10 people there, and it’s all like influencers who are literally in bed all day. I made a joke about her,” she said.
Lynn added that the saying “get your damn ass up and work” refers to a meme and that she didn’t want to pretend that she had “the toughest job in the world.”
“Yeah, I run around all day doing everyday errands and simple shit,” she continued. “I’m not that hard to work in the fields.”
The video received 1.3 million views.
Lynn released another video later that same day, in which she said people who comment on her videos to express criticism “have no life”. She added: “This is bloody embarrassing. Shawty, touch up some weed, chat up a loved one.
Lynn didn’t immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
