The Erasmus Bridge, locally known as ‘The Swan’, connects the northern and southern halves of the city. You will get the best views from the water, so book a local cruise or hop on the ferry from Erasmusburg to Kinderdijk.

Before you start to explore the city, be sure to download the Rewriters app for a self-guided tour around the six neighbourhoods known for their public art. You’ll find many unique pieces just like this mural of Vincent Vega (from the movie Pulp Fiction, played by John Travolta) painted by Greek mural artist, Insane51.
Witte Huis
📸 Ramūns U
The Witte Huis is one of the oldest buildings standing in Rotterdam. And it has made its way onto the UNESCO World Heritage list. This image was captured from Haringvliet on an early morning walk.
Het Park
📸 Maarten
Het Park, which translates to ‘The Park’, got its name for being one of the first parks in Rotterdam. Since 1863, the park has been open to the public and it still welcomes locals and travellers alike to stroll around the grounds. Look up to spot the Euromast, an observation tower, which peeks through the canopy.
Nieuwe Delftse Poort

The Nieuwe Delftse Poort stands in the place where the original city gate once stood. Thanks to artist Cor Kraat, the gate was resurrected as a colourful assortment of orange metal beams, which contrasts nicely with a snowy February day.
The Cube Houses (Kubuswoningen)
📸 Aman J
The Cube Houses are an icon of the city and were designed by Dutch architect Piet Blom in 1970. They are a reflection of the experimental and modern architecture you’ll find throughout the city.

📸 Bram S
N.V. Graansilo Maatschappij is the former grain silo from the early 1900s. The building has now been transformed into a destination for those seeking a night out, hosting various events, from dance nights, concerts and even corporate gatherings.
