Dying Light 2: How to Invite Friends

Dying Light 2 has debuted with one of the strongest features of the original: co-op! That’s right, you and up to three friends (or random players) can squad up and take on the challenges of The City together however you see fit. Whether it be by moving quietly and drawing as little attention as possible, or hacking and slashing as you see fit, you can have a blast going to town. But first of all, you need said friends to play with. If you’re confused as to how to invite your friends into your Dying Light 2 match, let me be your guide!

How to Invite Friends in Dying Light 2

Firstly, you’ll want to make sure you’re past the introductory few hours or so doing missions with Hakon. You’ll know you’ve made it when the open-world portion of the game finally unlocks. Once you make it there, head to the Pause Menu and go to the Online Menu as seen above. From here, you’ll want to head to Online Options and change your Game Type to either Private or Friends Only. This will either let your game only be joinable through invites on Private or let only your Friends join you directly on Friends Only. From there, head back to the Online Menu and select Friends. From here, you’ll be able to invite whichever friends you’d like by clicking or tapping on their names.

It’s worth keeping in mind that you can only have three friends join you on your adventure. If you have more, your group will have to split up and play in different groups. It’s also worth noting that some have reported issues with things such as a “Network Disconnected” bug and things of the sort. You may have to wait for Dying Light 2’s developer to tackle some of these issues before getting to slaughter with your friends.
