Who Is Chad Johnson, Selling Tampa Star Sharelle Rosado’s Fiancè?

Netflix’s hit series Selling Sunset has finally led to two new spinoffs: Selling The OC and Selling Tampa. With the first Selling Tampa episodes dropping today, questions are bubbling up everywhere around the new ladies on the Tampa, Florida real estate scene.

One star who’s already making waves is Sharelle Rosado, the owner of Allure Realty. Sharelle founded her own real estate brokerage back in 2019, and she’s been closing major deals ever since. Her latest? An engagement to Chad Johnson, formerly known as Chad Ochocinco.

Now, Sharelle and Chad are expecting their fourth child together. So, who is he? Here’s everything to know about Chad, from his football career to his Twitch channel:

Chad played professional football for over a decade.

Chad’s nickname, Ochocinco, is the Spanish translation of his NFL jersey number, 85. He played as a wide receiver for ten years, according to his NFL bio. Chad originally played for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2001 to 2010 before signing with the New England Patriots for one season in 2011. Then, he joined the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad in 2012.

After that, Chad left the NFL and played for professional teams in Canada in 2014 and in Mexico in 2017, per The Washington Post and the Bleacher Report. Here he is with Sharelle:

After retiring from sports, Chad began his career in reality TV.

Once he stopped chasing the Super Bowl, Chad set his sights on another trophy: the Mirrorball. As a contestant on season 10 of Dancing With the Stars, Chad made it all the way to the final four with his partner, professional dancer Cheryl Burke.

Later that year, Chad starred in his very own dating show on VH1 called Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch. Starting with a massive pool of 85 women, Chad ultimately chose Rubi Pazmino as the winner, per the Daily Mail. (The pair’s relationship was pretty brief, in case you’re curious.)

He’s experimented with other sports, too.

Chad’s skills aren’t limited to the dance floor or the turf. He’s also played soccer and even jumped in the boxing ring with Brian Maxwell.

Now, Chad occasionally streams video games on Twitch.

Sometimes, you can catch Chad playing FIFA 21 (a soccer video game) on his Twitch channel, although he hasn’t streamed in a few months.

Soon, he’ll be a dad of eight.

Currently, Chad and Sharelle are having their first child together. Chad has seven other children, he shared on Barstool Sports’ Bussin With The Boys podcast, making him a soon-to-be dad of eight. Plus, Sharelle is already a mom of three—bringing their family total to eleven. Sharelle actually found out about the pregnancy while filming Selling Tampa.

“It was shocking. I think I was crying and laughing at the same time,” she told People. “I just can’t wait. It’s actually going by so fast. I found out I was pregnant while we were filming, so time is flying. It doesn’t even seem like it’s been that long.”

“I always wanted a big family,” Sharelle added. “So I think with this last one, she’s just the perfect number to finish it off.”
