Crafter 1-90 Leveling Guide (Updated for 6.3)

This guide will show you how to quickly level all of your crafter classes in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker. We will assume you have no prior knowledge of the crafting system and macros will be provided to do the majority of the heavy lifting for you. With preparation, you will bypass the majority of the grind associated with leveling crafters by using the Market Board to buy the gear and materials required to craft Grade 4 Ishgard Restoration recipes. The suggested gear and macros will result in huge EXP bonuses that will speed up the leveling process immensely.

Leveling All Classes Together VS. One At A Time

Leveling your classes in parallel or one at a time is entirely up to your preference. This guide is written to be flexible so that you may choose the method that you prefer without any major downsides. Just ensure that you plan your Main / Off-Hand inventory space accordingly.

Main Class Level 70+

• It is expected that your main class is Level 70+ Stormblood Main Scenario completed for access to The Firmament.
• This entire guide can be followed to the end without completing the Shadowbringers or Endwalker Story Quests thanks to Ishgardian Restoration.
• You will need to rely on the Market Board to obtain Tools if you do not have access to the required NPC

3-5 Million Gil

• You will need some starting funds to purchase gear, tools, materia, food and materials to prepare for the journey from 1-80
• Visit our Gil Store, we are the only dedicated sellers of legitimately farmed gil and are able to provide gil at low prices
• This may seem like a lot of gil for those first foraging into crafting, but it is a small amount in the grand scheme of things and seasoned crafters are able to make far more.
• It’s strongly advised to use universalis.app to check the Market Board prices for all Worlds on your Data Center, it will save you a lot of gil in the long run

Access to Engineering Manuals

• You will need access to Engineering Manuals to provide a +50% boost to EXP during Level 1-21
• Engineering Manuals can be used at any level but are most vital at these levels as nearly all EXP is awarded from crafting
• The easiest way to obtain Engineering Manuals is by Grand Company Seals

50 HQ Tsai tou Vounou Food

• You will need to stock up on High Quality Tsai tou Vounou, this will be the food of choice for our Macros due to their great Control and CP bonuses

• Use the FFXIV Teamcraft Macro Translator if your Game Language is not set to English

EXP Boosts & Bonuses

Aside from the Rest EXP Bonus; there are a number of stackable buffs, gear and methods that can be used to increase EXP yields and level up even faster:

Road to 80 (Preferred Worlds) (+100%)

Those who are on Preferred Worlds are the most privileged group, receiving a +100% bonus to ALL EXP gained until Level 80. This means the effort required to reach Level 80 is essentially halved.

Commercial Manuals (+150%)

Commercial Manuals grant +150% EXP and are essentially mandatory during Levels 1-21 due to the huge boost they provide. Commercial Manuals only affect EXP given from successfully crafting an item so the majority of your EXP gained after 21 is not affected by Commercial Manuals. However, they can still by used and will make a difference in the overall number of crafts required to level up, especially if used with the EXP Scaling method.

Helping Hand II (Free Company Buff) (+10%)

For those who are part of a Free Company willing to activate this buff, you’ll receive a small boost of +10% EXP for all successful crafts. This buff does not affect EXP from Ishgard Restoration hand-ins.

Bonus EXP Gear

• Friendship Circlet +20% (up to level 26)
• Ala Mhigan Earrings +30% EXP (up to level 51)

Those fortunate enough to have access to Bonus EXP gear can wear this gear until their level caps for a nice boost. Bonuses from this gear does stack and swapping in this gear will not affect the Macros suggested in this guide. That said, the EXP bonuses from this gear do not affect EXP rewarded from Ishgard Restoration hand-ins.

EXP Scaling (Craft All Hand-ins at Minimum Level)

It is possible to maximize the EXP received from crafting Ishgard Restoration Recipes by waiting until you’ve crafted the required quantity to reach the next tier. EXP received from crafting scales down as you level up, so you’ll receive far more EXP if you complete all your crafts at the lowest level that you possibly can.

Buying Gear & Tools

To properly prepare for the journey from 21-80, you will need to acquire the gear that you’ll be using to craft the Ishgard Restoration turn-in items. The suggested macros will ensure that you receive the maximum possible EXP rewards from Ishgard Restoration allowing you to level much faster.

All the gear listed in this guide can be found relatively easily on the Market Board and must purchased as High Quality (HQ) for the extra stats granted. The extra stats from HQ gear will ensure that your crafting macros are successful. Use universalis.app to search the Market Boards of all the Worlds on your Data Center and find the cheapest prices for Gear.

Purchase Tools from Vendor NPCs

Unlike the Armour, the Tools do not need to be High Quality and thus can be purchased directly from vendor NPCs. You’ll be getting far more use out the Armor than the Tools so this guide is designed with that in mind.

Note: It is often possible to find HQ tools on the Market Board for a cheaper price than NPC vendors which only sell Normal Quality (NQ) versions. Be sure to check universalis.app to find the lowest prices.

Level 1-21 (Quicksynth Stage)

You will need to unlock your crafting classes at their respective Guilds if you haven’t done so already.

Once unlocked, you will be buying very cheap and simple materials from the Guild Supplier then using Quick Synthesis to gain experience with little effort on your part.

Note: Quick Synthesis requires level 10 in any crafter class, it will then be unlocked for the rest of your crafter classes from level 1.

Complete your level 1, 5 and 10 Crafter Class Quest for some easy EXP and gear rewards, you will also obtain slightly upgraded Main Hand and Off-Hand tools to help you quicksynth your way to level 21. These quests will also provide you with the Shards required for crafting.

Level 21-41 (25 Crafts)

Unlock The Firmament & Ishgard Restoration

Now that you’re over level 20 in any crafting class, you can now head to Ishgard and complete the short quest chain to unlock The Firmament if you haven’t done so already. [Towards the Firmament] can be accepted by speaking to the Recruitment Notice next to the Ishgard Aetheryte in Foundation (X: 9.7 Y: 11.5).

You’ll be transported to The Firmament to complete the quest. Once complete, speak to the Augebert (sidequest icon). After Augebert, speak to any NPCs in the Firmament (Potkin, Lizbeth, Enie etc) with a sidequest icon above their head to listen to their dialogue.

Next, speak to Potkin a second time to unlock Expert Recipes in your Crafting Log, these are the recipes for the Ishgard Restoration items that we will be crafting and turning in to Potkin for EXP.

The Firmament will now be accessible from the Ishgard Aetheryte once unlocked.

All materials used for Leveling via Ishgardian Restoration can be bought from the Market Board meaning that Gathering is not mandatory for any stage.

Ensure that you have equipped your gearset for level 21; the appropriate Main / Off Hand Tools can be purchased from Syneyhil, the Fieldcraft Supplier in Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X 6.3 Y:11.9).

We’ll now be upgrading some of our Armor for the Level 53 Gearset to increase our stats and reach the third tier of EXP reward from Ishgard Restoration hand-ins. This will give us over double the EXP from the previous tier.

The Main Hand Tools can be from Evrardoux, the Fieldcraft Supplier in The Pillars (X: 6.5 Y: 9.5). Once your Level 53 Tools / Armor is equipped with the Belt / Accessories from the previous set, you can now use this improved Macro to receive more EXP.

Level 63-73 (40 Crafts)

Now that we’ve reached level 63, we can now equip the level 63 Gear. However, we’ll need to have unlocked Materia Melding to increase our base CP for the crafting macro.

Unlocking Materia Overmelding

To unlock Advanced Materia Melding aka Overmelding, you’ll need to visit Mutamix Bubblypots and complete his quest [Melding Materia Muchly]. You’ll be required to meld any materia 8 times in his presence, you can meld and [Retrieve Materia] to accomplish this.

Complete any lingering quests from the NPCs around him as some are prerequisites.

Ensure that your level 63 Gearset is equipped and melded with the Craftsman’s Cunning V Materia (CP +6) for the extra CP boost to grant a total of 408 CP with no food or potions.

The level 63 Main / Off-Hand Tools are purchasable from Shichiho, the Tools Supplier in Kugane (X: 12.7 Y: 12.2). Easily accessible by using the Kogane Dori Markets Aetheryte.

Ensure that your level 71 Gearset is equipped with the Craftsman’s Cunning V Materia (CP +6) for the extra CP boost to grant a total of 454 CP with no food or potions.

Level 78-81 (Class Quests)

After your crafter class has reached level 78, it would be in your best interest to complete the all the Crafter Class Quests. The experience points granted by these quests will be enough to comfortably take you to level 81 and unlock the vital Crafting Action Manipulation while doing so. The Manipulation skill will need to be unlocked for every class individually.

Once you’ve reached level 81 and unlocked Manipulation, you can use more powerful macros to craft Collectables Recipes to unlock Master Recipes and earn large EXP simultaneously.

Skipping Class Quests & Levequests 80-81 (Optional)

Optionally, you can skip Class Quests if you do not wish to do them. You’ll have to craft an additional 10 Level 70 Ishgardian Restoration recipes to go from 78-80.

Once you’re Level 80, you can complete Levequests via Grigge in Old Sharlayan (X: 12.2, Y: 13.4) to level to 81 if you need to do so to wear the Level 81 Gearset. It will take 4 HQ or 8 NQ turn-ins to go from 80 to 81.

Level 80-85 (25 Crafts)

We’ve now reached the final stage, thankfully things continue to be straightforward and we’ll craft Collectables for a bee line straight to Level 90.

You can craft any Collectable between Level 81-90 that you’re able to; increase Recipe Level as your level increases. It is strongly advised not to craft Collectables which are above that of your current level because; after level 81 you can only hand in Collectable crafts that are one level above your own, or lower. Collectables Crafting and Hand-ins are very similar to Ishgardian Restoration. Instead of Skybuilders’ Scrips, Collectables will reward you with White Scrips. White Scrips are used for purchasing rare items such as Revised EXP Manuals, Materia and unique materials used in Recipes that are released in major updates (Master Recipes). White Scrips are also used to initially purchase Master Recipe Books, which ae required to learn these special Crafting Recipes. Have a quick read through our Collectables & Master Recipe Guide for an overview of unlocking Master Recipes and Collectables.

Those wearing the Level 71 Gearset will need to upgrade to an i480 or higher Gearset. Craftsman’s Cunning V or higher are required for the Legs, Feet and all Accessory Materia Slots; buy the cheapest on the Market Board or recycle them from your Level 71 Gearset. Use Levequests and Grand Company turn-ins for a quick EXP boost if you need to jump from 81 if you choose to use the i480 Gearset. You can use any combination of the armour piece below to form a full Gearset.

Congratulations on leveling your crafters to level 90. The next steps would be upgrade your gear to the current best in slot (BiS) with materia melds. With this gear, you’ll be able to craft the most profitable items easily with Macros and farm gil by selling them on the Market Board.

• Specialists (Optional)

Unlocking Specialists (Optional)

You can choose up to 3 Specialists Classes which will grant you will an equippable Soul Stone for a small boost in stats.

1. Speak to Lydirlona in Revenant’s Toll (X: 22 Y: 6) and accept Beloved of the Builder Quest
2. Speak to Alderan in The Pillars (X: 14.7 Y: 10.7) to complete quest
3. Speak to Alderan again to choose a specialist

You will receive an equippable Soul Stone for your chosen crafter class, this will grant +20 Craftsmanship,+20 Control and +15 CP.
