How to Play Blacktop With Friends NBA2K21

NBA2K21 Blacktop is one of the best modes the game has to offer.

The blacktop game mode concept is simple, yet very few other sport games offer such a mode. In this mode, you can choose your team based on the number of players you want to play with, ranging from a one-on-one game to a full-court five-on-five.

Now for the best part of the Blacktop game mode, you get to draft your team from any NBA player, ever! You can have the squad of your dreams and team prime Shaq up with James Harden, or you can make the dream one on one matchup of Lebron vs. Jordan come true.

Getting to the Blacktop mode from the home screen is very easy. First, you go to your “Play Now” option, then scroll to the right until you see Blacktop.

Once there, you simply click the Blacktop option, and now it’s time for the fun to begin. Honestly, the best part of this mode is playing against your friends with dream player combinations. Not to mention, in this game mode, players can do skills that aren’t possible in regular gameplay.

You’ll see players pull out crossovers that you haven’t even seen in real life. Or, if you’re lucky, you can get your player to do a 360 between the leg dunk on your opponent.

For the time being, you can only play this mode with friends, an online mode is not available. Online Blacktop mode was available in NBA2K19, but since then it has been removed from the game. Blacktop lovers don’t have much hope for an online mode coming back anytime soon. NBA2K reps have not said anything regarding the online version and dodge questions about it on Twitter whenever asked.

While we won’t be playing Blacktop online, it is one of the most fun game modes on NBA2K21 and it’s easy to play with friends!
