My first time drinking Li Shan. I was pleasantly surprised. Rich flavor that satisfied my craving for matcha tea, with a much less grassy taste.

I enjoy it best in the early morning. So refreshing!

Wonderful tea with really good taste

I purchased on June 19, 2022 and I didn’t record the harvest batch.

My first impression was a very green and fresh tea. Brewed western style on glass tea cupping set, it tasted slightly sweet, buttery, creamy, fresh green vegetable, floral, aromatic, and smooth. Lingering aroma.

I have tried the room temperature brew (>12 hours) and it was intense! You must try this method!

I loved it so much! I totally recommended to try out this tea!

First round of this I ordered was the winter 22 batch and it was simply incredible. By the time I realized I should order more, it had sold out.

Now onto the spring 22 batch. Considering how delicious the winter was, I went ahead and ordered 2 150g boxes to start. Brewed it as I had the winter batch (based on the “mug” instructions) and was initially disappointed. Tasted more vegetal than I would expect of a Li Shan, less buttery, and overall it just seemed like it had a flatter flavour profile. But then…

I decided to brew it Gong Fu style! Oh. My. Goodness. ALL the beautiful and subtle notes started coming out. The lovely floral and herbal aroma, and that buttery, creamy finish — especially on the 2nd and 3rd brews which are my personal favourites. With this style I end up steeping it around 6-7 times and it each cup is different and delicious until the very end!

Got this tea in the beginning of the year. The aroma is so good and lasts long. Probably particular this batch of tea leaves grew in the suitable temperature and moisture that this high mountain tea gives its best tasting profile.
