In her death, she protected her village.

Minato had been assigned to lead Kakashi’s team, where the two bonded. Though he owed Minato his life, Kakashi would inadvertently cause his teacher’s death. While speaking at his comrade’s grave about Kushiha’s pregnancy, Kakashi was overheard by Obito.

4 His Student Sasuke Abandoned The Village
Kakashi was assigned to be the leader of Team 7. He tried to steer his students in the right direction, teaching them everything he knew about being a ninja. Though one student seemed especially full of rage, Kakashi tried to talk some sense into him.
Sasuke suffered from the loss of his entire clan, so Kakashi revealed that he had also experienced a lot of pain and loss in life. Still, no matter what, Sasuke wouldn’t abandon his goals of revenge.
