Audacious Devotionals 21 days of Prayer and Fasting – Day 1 – March 10th 2023

Joshua 6:20 (NIV): ‘When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.’

We are believing for breakthrough in and through !Audacious Church. It’s always been part of our story, as a church. We have bitten off more than we can chew, we have declared the goodness of God, and spoken about things that are not as though they are – with the faith to take God at His Word.

Today, we are going to be praying for the central location of our Manchester campus. God has put us in a big city, with a big need, but we have just enough faith to believe in our big God that He will do big things. Joshua and his army were marching around the city that God had already given them (*see verse 2: ‘Then the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men…”’) but, as yet, they hadn’t taken. It would have seemed like nothing was happening, like their impact was minimal, but after a time God intervened! It’s one of those amazing “suddenly” moments we read about in Scripture and that is exactly what we are believing for in Manchester. We have been working hard, praying, giving, serving, and loving for the last 15 years, and have seen God do amazing things, but there are three areas where we know God has not finished yet.

Would you join us as we pray for Salvation, finance, and relationships in our campus?

Pray that many people will encounter God in our services and through our programmes, both in-house and out in and around the city. Pray for our schools teams and A-teams, and for our congregation to have the courage to invite and bring people. That God would set people free, as He always does.

Pray for a financial breakthrough. Our vision is big and is only limited by two things: human resources (we need more people to play their part!) and financial resources (our vision is bigger than our budget!). Would you pray specifically that everyone who calls !Audacious Church their home would have a revelation of the spiritual discipline of tithing; that is putting God first in their finances – and that will then lead to a personal increase for all of those families and individuals.

Finally, pray that, even as we grow, people will cultivate meaningful, life-giving relationships at church. That our Small Group engagement will go up as people commit to another spiritual discipline – that being fellowship. Pray that no one will ever come through the doors of our church and remain lonely, and that people will find a community of faith to belong to and own, so that others can find it, too.

Let’s stand together and see God do even more.
