This wikiHow teaches you how to connect a USB printer to a network through a router or print server. If the router has a USB port, you can connect it directly to the printer. You will need to configure the router to act as the printer server. Turn on the printer sharing feature of the router. To enable printer sharing on the router, open a web browser and enter the router IP address in the URL bar (usually 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, 10.0.0.1 or similar).
