How to Make a Smoking Pipe from an Apple

If you feel like smoking but don’t have a straw, try making one out of an apple. The apple smoking pipe takes just a few minutes to make, and it works great! Just be careful not to use this special straw when the apple starts to become soft. Here are two ways you can make your own smoking pipes.

Make Apple Straws with Pens

Prepare an apple and a pen. This straw is considered “pure” because all you need is an apple and a small stick-like tool with a pointed tip, enough to poke a hole in the apple. Here we will use a pen.

Choose a fresh, hard apple. If you choose a soft apple, it will probably crumble when you try to make a hole in the apple.
It is best to use a ballpoint pen. You should be able to detach the tip and remove the ink from the pen without getting the ink on the apple. Discard the ink cartridge and reinsert the tip.
Do not use pencil. You should be able to break the pencil when you make a hole inside the apple.

Remove the apple stem. Use your fingers to twist and pull the stem away from the apple; Or you can cut a small cap around the apple stem to remove it. You must remove the stem of the apple; If it’s broken, use your hand to dig deep into the base of the apple stem to get it out.

Pierce a second hole near the bottom of the apple. This hole should be about 1 cm from the center of the bottom of the apple and cut across the first hole you just made earlier.

Pierce the third hole from the side of the apple. Press the pen from the edge into the apple to make a distance of 2-3 cm from the top of the first hole. Push the pen inside the apple until the third hole intersects the hole system you created. This hole acts as the smoke vent when you smoke, so it needs to be conveniently located so that you can cover the hole with your finger while you light the straw.

Prepare an apple, a knife, a spoon and a pencil. With this method you will need some extra tools, but the straws are easy to make and you will have a beautiful straw.

Cut off the top (cap) of the apple. Cut about 2.5 cm from the apple stem. Remove the apple stem from the apple lid.

Don’t cut too close to the apple stem. The lid will be made into a potion hole, so it needs to be thick and hard enough.

Hold an apple in one hand with a finger covering the smoke hole and place your mouth on the nozzle. Use your other hand to light the fire and smoke.
