How to Treat a Flea Sting

Apply some aloe vera gel to the bite. You can either break an aloe vera branch and apply it to the bite or use bottled aloe vera gel.

Use green tea to wash flea bites. You can wash with green tea, black tea, bellflower tea or tea from fresh or dried lavender. You can also replace it by placing used tea bags directly on the bite.

Crush the leaves and medicinal plants and rub them on the bite. Try thyme leaves or chamomile flowers. You can also use a drop or two of thyme oil.

Take a warm oatmeal bath . You can make your own or buy it at a grocery store or drugstore. Warm water is important, as hot water tends to dry out your skin.

Try using echinacea. Make or buy a bottle of chamomile tincture and put a few drops on the sting. You can also make your own wash from fresh wild chrysanthemums and warm water. ^[4]

Use copra. Crush a coconut and put the whole thing in a blender. After grinding, you will have a smooth paste, and this is what you will use to treat flea bites. Rub this paste on the burned skin and leave it on for an hour with a towel, then wash it off. You should do this about three times and you should notice a reduction in the swelling of the flea bite. Do it again before going to bed and the next morning you will see almost completely cured. If not, repeat this process.

Eat a lot of garlic. For some reason, the fleas didn’t like the smell of garlic. So cook up your favorite Italian dish, or French steamed mussels, or take advantage of garlic’s goodness with garlic bread. Garlic should not be given to your dog, as garlic is toxic to dogs.

Make a spray with citrus fruits. Fleas hate the smell of citrus. Cut a lemon into thin slices, put in a little water and bring to a boil, leave overnight and the next morning spray on the skin where you suspect fleas often “travel” (especially in ankles and arms). This will prevent future flea bites and will give you a nice scent, too!

Use essential oils to prevent flea bites. There are many essential oils that help repel fleas thanks to their strong scent. Use these essential oils. You can make tinctures or mix essential oils directly on your skin to get rid of fleas.

• Apply eucalyptus oil to the area to be treated. Eucalyptus oil is another smell that fleas fear. Mix a little eucalyptus oil in a spray bottle with some water and spray it on your ankles and arms.
• Use lavender oil for problem areas. Lavender essential oil, like eucalyptus oil, is very irritating to fleas. Apply the same as eucalyptus oil.
• Use eucalyptus oil for the skin to be treated. Another way is to put a few drops of eucalyptus on pillows and under the bed to keep fleas out of your home.
