This article will show you how to become a blogger with only Facebook. While people’s Facebook posts are usually pretty short, the Facebook Notes app lets you post longer posts with photos, videos, titles, and more. If you want to spread your writing through your network of friends, you can create a Facebook Page and use it to share your articles and ideas with a wider audience.
Steps
Use Facebook Notes
- If you’re not logged into Facebook, follow the on-screen instructions to sign in.
- You can also access the Facebook Notes app from your profile by clicking the More tab at the top of the screen and selecting Notes .
- If you access the Notes page from your profile, you’ll see an option +Add Note .
- Click the small paragraph icon in the left corner of the text input area to see editing options. You can add headings, lists and markup text (HTML Tags) in this menu.
- To add media to the post, click the + sign next to the text input area and select Photo or Embed (to paste the video’s link).
- Click Save in the lower right corner to save the progress.
- To view your own articles, go to https://www.facebook.com/notes and click My Notes near the top-right corner of the page.
Using Facebook Pages
- Click Create near the top-right corner of the home page and select Page .
- Click the Get Started button under “Community or Public Figure”.
- Enter the name of the blog in the “Page Name” field.
- Select the category as Personal Blog .
- Click Continue to create the Page.

- Your Page is now public. If you don’t want to make this blog page public right away, you can click Edit next to “Page Visibility” and select Page Unpublished. Don’t forget to repost the page when you’re ready to share
- Don’t allow other people to post to your Page so you’re the only one who can post to your blog. To make this setting, you’ll click Edit next to Visitor Posts , select Disable posts by other people on the page . , then click Save changes .
- Click the Messaging tab in the left panel to set up how people contact you on your blog.
- Click on Templates and Tabs in the left panel to select a theme and set the tags.
- Return to the Page once the installation is complete by clicking Page in the upper left corner.
- Click Photo/Video to add media including photo albums, slideshow videos, carousels, etc.
- Click Feeling/Activity to let the reader know how you are feeling and/or doing.
- Click Preview at any time to preview your post.
- If you want to set the post to show at a certain time, you can click the Share Now menu, select Schedule and set your preferences.
