With the appearance of the new Fairy type in the video games Pokémon X and Y, Eevee was able to evolve into a completely new form, Sylveon. Sylveon is Eevee’s Fairy-type evolution with a high Special Defense stat. Evolving into Sylveon (taking advantage of the Pokémon-Amie feature in Pokémon X and Y) is not the same as evolving Eevee into any other form. However, if you follow the right method, you can successfully evolve in just 10 to 15 minutes. Note that this tutorial was written specifically for the X/Y version. In general, the steps are quite similar, but the location may be slightly different. Get started from Step 1 below!
Steps
- In Pokémon X and Y, you can catch Eevee at Route 10 (street 10) between Geosenge Town (town) and Cyllage City (city).
- In the video games Pokémon Sun and Moon (and the games Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon), you can catch Eevee at Akala Island (the second island) on your way to Pokémon Ranch (the ranch).
- You can also capture Eevee in Friend Safari, an area where other players’ 3DS Friend Codes are used to create a reservoir for Pokémon of the same type. Since Eevee is of Normal-type, you need to use Friend Code to create normal-type Safari.
- Finally, you can get Eevee when you trade with another player.
- Eevee will learn two Fairy-type moves as she level up: Baby-dpl Eyes at level 9 (Level 9) and Charm at level 29. [2] X Research Source
- Note that Eevee cannot learn any Fairy-type moves from TMs.
- Pamper Eevee in Pokémon-Amie until it has at least two loving hearts before moving on. You can do this before or after teaching it a Fairy-type move. Remember that you should only have 2 to 3 hearts, because if reaching the maximum love level, Eevee can evolve into Espeon or Umbreon.
- Route 20 (road 20), where there are moss covered rocks. [3] X Research Sources
- Frost Cavern (frozen cave), where ice covered rocks. [4] X Research Sources
- In Pokémon Sun and Moon (and the game Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon), you need to avoid the area north of the Lush Jungle (jungle) because of the moss-covered rocks, as well as avoid the cave at Mount Lanakila (mountain Lanakila). [5] X Research Sources[6] X Research Sources
