How to Unhide Columns in Excel

Open your Excel document. Double-click the Excel document, or double-click the Excel icon and select the text name from the home page. This step helps you to open the document containing hidden columns in Excel.

Select the columns located on both sides of the hidden column. Click the letter in the upper left of the hidden column, then hold down the ⇧ Shift key and click the letter in the upper right of the hidden column. When done correctly, those columns will be blacked out.

Point to Hide & Unhide . This option is under “Visibility” in the Format drop-down menu. After pointing, a menu will appear.

Click Unhide Cpumns . This button is near the bottom of the Hide & Unhide menu. This step helps you to instantly unhide the column between the two selected columns.

Advice

If some columns are still not displayed after you perform the unhide operation, it is likely that the width of those columns is “0” or another small value. To widen the column, move your mouse pointer to the right border of the column, then drag the column to increase the width.
