Windows 7 allows you to change the display language for most of its interface. The process is pretty straightforward and will be most complete if you’re using Windows 7 Ultimate or Enterprise. If you’re using Windows 7 Starter, Basic, or Home, you can install Language Interface Packs, which will help convert your most used components into your chosen language. You can also change the input language for the keyboard to easily type in other languages.
Steps
Display languages (Ultimate and Enterprise)
- You can open the Contrp Panel from the Start menu.
- It may take a few minutes to download the language pack.
- Open the Contrp Panel and select “Region and Language”.
- Click the Administrative tab and then click the Change system locale button.

Display language (for all versions)
- If the LIP requires the Ultimate or Enterprise edition, you will need to update your copy of Window to change the language.
- You will be required to read and accept the Microsoft terms before the language is installed.
- If you want to change the Welcome screen, as well as any system accounts, click the check box below the language list.
- Click on the Start menu and open the Contrp Panel.
- Open the “Region and Language” option.
- Click the Administrative tab and click the Chang system locale button.
- Select the language you just installed, and restart your computer when prompted.
Input language
- Some Languages will have multiple options as different regions will speak different dialects.
- You can also press the key combination ⊞ Win + Space to cycle through installed languages.
