Step 5 : Let the tissue soak in the solution overnight. Cover the box and set it aside. Let the tissue soak for 12 hours or overnight so the cleaning solution can soak into the paper thoroughly.

Step 6 : Pull out the tissue core from the center of the roll. Once the paper towel has soaked up the cleaning solution, the inert core becomes soft and you can pull it out with ease.

Step 7 : Take the piece of paper at the end of the roll and carefully pull it through the x-shaped slot you cut in the lid of your plastic container. Then, close the lid tightly with the end of the roll sticking out.

Now you can easily pull out your paper towels to use every time you need to wipe things down. At the same time, the rest of the tissue remains moist inside the container.

Step 8 : Wipe the surface with a paper towel until the surface becomes visibly wet, then let the disinfectant solution sit for 3-5 minutes before wiping or rinsing. This will allow it plenty of time to kill any viruses, bacteria or other microorganisms on the surface.

Step 9 : As soon as you use the wipe on a surface, dispose of it in a covered trash can.

How to make your own hand sanitizer

Step 1 : Prepare ingredients to make a hand sanitizer solution including aloe vera gel, 99% alcohol, a little aromatic essential oil (with or without) and an empty plastic bottle (preferably a bottle with a spout).

Step 2 : Combine 2⁄3 cups (160 ml) of 99% alcohol and 1⁄3 cups (79 ml) of aloe vera gel. In addition to soap and warm water, a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol is your best bet for killing germs and viruses on your hands. Add some pure aloe vera gel to the mixture to make your hands less dry.

Aloe vera gel is available from most drug stores or grocery stores. Alternatively, you can also squeeze it directly out of the aloe leaf.

Step 3 : Place your hand sanitizer mixture in an empty plastic bottle. Close the lid tightly to prevent evaporation.

If the container has been used before, wash it thoroughly with soap and hot water before adding disinfectant.

Step 4 : Squeeze the mixture onto a tissue or handkerchief ready for hand sanitizer.

Step 5 : Wipe down all surfaces of your hands, including the backs of your hands, wrists, and the spaces between your fingers. Check your hands to make sure they are visibly clean. Let your hands air dry instead of wiping or rinsing them.

Washing hands or wiping off hand sanitizer too soon can prevent complete hand disinfection.
